wow shell78! You're definitely at waist and your hair is soooooo beautiful. *jealous*
It's my dream hair, but unfortunately my own color and texture are completely different...
    Is that your natural colour?

Wow, Shell, congrats on reaching waist! Incidentally, your hair is what I wish mine looked like ('cept I'll keep my brown and silver ).

Yes, Shell, I'd call that waist. I'd also call your curls freakin' gorgeous. Congratulations on both counts!

it feels like I've been thisclose to waist forever and yet can't quite get there! It's infuriating. My hair has been growing .5" a month just fine and yet somehow it doesn't FEEL any longer. Might get DBF to take some photos for me tonight, and then maybe I'll see some progress.
don't know whether your hair is brown or red? us neither!
hit my length goal of tailbone ... now learning to maintain and aiming to reduce split ends!

I think the pictures will help, freckles. We get so accustomed to seeing our length every day so it seems like it's not moving at all.

oh, me too! and I am so measuring tape challenged that I get different measurements every time.
Sometimes I look and feel like my longest tips are 'there', then I think well, maybe another inch and other times it looks like 3 more inches to go.

ETA- my siggy pic looks like maybe 2 or 3 more inches, and I think that was a few months ago.

yes! This exactly! I'll put my hand behind my back and feel my hair and think it's AT waist ... if I look sideways in a mirror it looks way above waist ... and so much can be changed by a slight head tilt anyway. I have no idea if I have 1, 2, 3 or more inches to go 'till waist!

so utterly and totally frustrating. Although I keep telling myself that barring any hair catastrophe, I will for sure, no matter what, be at waist by July 4th...... hopefully past, but at least solidly there.
