Give yourself the piece of (hair) advice you wish you'd given yourself (and taken) long ago.
    Here's mine:

Dying the crap out of your hair every month for years, and then wishing for long healthy locks? Seriously, girl. Not gonna happen.

I like to read stuff about hair, but not the other way around.

Don't go to your mother's hair stylist to get it all chopped off. In fact, don't cut at all.
Two roads diverged in a wood and I, I took the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

Broken ends never retain the length of your hair and always cut off damaged hair ! Also no bleach or heat tools!!

Leave it alone and let it grow; you'll love it long.

I stopped using shampoo a month ago and immediately noticed less shedding. I used to pull out gobs of hair in the shower while detangling and it was scaring me, frankly. I use soap and acidified conditioner with a citric acid rinse just on the top of my head, as it seems to need it there. Some people use shampoo and it's fine. I just know that SLS and ALS aren't good for me. I haven't tried decyl glucoside yet, or any of the other alternative detergents. But what I'm doing is working, so why mess with it?
