    Default Kronos?

Has anyone heard of Kronos? Supposedly they are a new company that actually makes a hair-friendly shampoo (as opposed to traditional commercial shampoos) I just read an article today and I'm not sure what to think. Is it a clever advertising angle or are they really more concerned about hair-health than other companies? Here's the article: http://www.howlifeworks.com/a/a/?cid...news&AG_ID=706

Apparently it was on the Today Show already and it was featured in Good Housekeeping. Anyone tried it yet? Is it worth trying to order it from overseas?

The first thing i thought was..why does this woman have on a bunch of makeup when shes washing her hair?-_-
I'm not really sure about the product so I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread. I am very skeptical though..a lot of ads make unbelievably false claims. Can't wait to see other peoples responses

The only Kronos I know is overrun by Klingons.

But so many of them have wondrous hair. Maybe they know a thing or two about hair-friendly shampoo?

I read the article -- it sounds a little too good to be true.

Here are a couple of questions that came to mind:
What are these mini-molecules that can penetrate the hair shaft?
How did these scientists formulate them?
    Where is their patent?
What about scientific evidence/citing/any research to back this up?

...I just clicked on the "learn more" link, and was sent to the kronos site where I got all of these popups telling me to stay on the website and wait to be connected to a live person/consultant. Fishy.

That said . . . maybe it works? I'd like to see some hard evidence, though.

    Eek ! $35 for 10 oz of shampoo :

I checked the ingredients for their hydrating shampoo and there doesn't seem to be anything remarkable about them except coral and pearl powder extract and a 'cone. They even misspelled Avocado. I have my doubts.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, PEG-150 Distearate, Acrylates Copolymer, Sodium Lauryl Sarcosinate, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Polyquaternium-39, Trimethylsiloxyamodimethicone, Oryzanol, Tocopherols, Tocotrienols, Persea Gratissima (Avacado) Oil, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Myristic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Flour Lipids, Brazilian Coral Powder Extract, South Sea Pearl Powder Extract, Butylene Glycol, C11-15 Pareth-7, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, C12-16 Pareth-9, Trideceth-12, Polysorbate 60, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Fragrance (Parfum), Triethanolamine, Methylisothiazolinone, Benzyl Benzoate

According to the ingredient list here this shampoo uses quite a bit of mineral oil. The detergents are not sulfates but they are sulfate derivatives, ones that are gentler but may still give reactions to those who have sulfate sensitivity.

ETA: I was slow in typing so In2wishin posted the ingredients before me, but the comment still stands.

I came to this thread wondering if somebody wanted to talk about doing Klingon hairstyles...

Hair length: Tailbone. Trying to decide whether I want a minimal trim, or to take off a few inches. It's a scary decision!

Wasn't Kronos the father of Zeus? Why would they want to name their shampoo after someone who ate his own kids? Is it a warning?
