    Default Braiding helpers?

Are there such a thing as tools for helping to braid?

I mean, I know how to do braids and all, but I have nerve problems in my elbows and my hands/arms fall asleep so quickly that I can't get through a full braid with my BSL hair without having to stop several times to lower my arms and regain feeling in my hands.

I want to be able to do two french or dutch braids with buns at the bottom, but when I try to braid, the braid is so loose and messy from my having to stop several times. I'm just wondering if there are tools out there to hold each strand as I go, like place holders maybe?

Did you try to sit down while braiding and if necessary bend forward rest your arms on a desk or something? For me that helps pretty good and I don't have to let go of the strands.

The only braid helpers I have seen only rope braid.

and I wouldn't try an electric one.

I think there use to be an infomercial squiggle that did a fish tail. I will look.

Ahha! It's a french braid not a fish tail. Hope that helps. I have never used either one so I can't say which is better or if they cause damage.

Edit: Wow there are a lot of them
