Hi there I'm new to the forum.
I have just recently realized that sulfate shampoos have been giving me a rash on my face and I think irritating my eyes also. I have had this problem for a long time and could never figure it out! I found out sulfates can cause these symptoms and now I'm pretty sure that is the case for me.
Anyway I am also allergic to many other products, particularly ones with any fragrance.
In my research I've found that the sulfate free shampoos are usually organically made from fruits and things like that, where the strong smells may be a problem for me.
Does anyone know a sulfate and fragrance free shampoo that I could try?
As far as my hair, I'm an Indian female with medium length hair. My hair is not very thick though, it's a little thin and tends to go flat. I also recently stopped using conditioner (in my quest to find what I was allergic to) so my hair and scalp are becoming dry. I think I'll try some coconut oil for that.

There's a list of fragrance free products here: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/...ad.php?t=47921
I'm sure some of them must be sulphate free. Hopefully there'll be something there you can use. I know how much of a nuisance it can be to find the right product when you can't use anything scented!

thanks deko I'll look up the reviews for that one and keep it in mind.
I think what I'm going to try to do is go to the vitamin shoppe store and see if I can find something that's sulfate free without a strong smell first and if that fails then I will order online.
I do not know what country you live in, but if you're in the USA, you could check out Everyday Shea. Their shampoo is SLS-free as far as I can see and it comes in an unscented version, too. I haven't actually tried it, but I do use the unscented conditioner and the only thing it smells like is shea butter and that's it.![]()
