Yes, I have noticed that. The solution uses to drip all over my face and eyes when doing a hair treatment. And it just feels good.

I had read that catnip can be used as an "eye wash".
However, I had read the same thing about chamomile tea. Chamomile tea caused me eye irritation and itchiness, although it did not last and I am not allergic to it. But chamomile tea, from my experince with using it on my hair for a year, can go off fairly quickly, even when refridgerated. I did not get an eye infection though, or have any lasting problems with it, when it got into my eyes.
Catnip? 0 problems to date, in almost 4 years, from the first time I started using it on my hair and skin.
Hi! I've read thru this forum - 55 pages of the Monostat - and the Salt & Pepper! Whew! Info overload!
Tues I plan to pick up some catnip. I'm also strongly looking at the Monostat. Does anyone think there is a reason NOT to do both?
Also: memory overload - do I want a 'sulfur' based shampoo? What are the key words to look for?
Would Suave Naturals be acceptable? I forgot which the health food store had in the Avalon brand (it will be 2 weeks before I can get back to the store. I'm out in the sticks in farm country!)
I was planning to use Avalon Clarifying Lemon Condish as my wash medium, but I see the conditioner is a barrier.
Thoughts & suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
I have a herb book that says that herbs and drugs should not be used together. However, I do not necessarily think that is the case here.
I would still use them separately though, to better judge how they both work, individually (catnip and Monostat).
Catnip does not work well over conditioners, from my experience.

Yup, I got that part - that's why I was asking about Suave - I've never heard of your Blonde Silk(?) Suave is popular, Clairol Herbal Essences and some Avalone Organics. Would picking one from the 'cone-free' list be fail-safe way to find a 'poo to use with the Catnip?
Thank you - I've really enjoyed reading this entire thread! Now, where was that one about Aloe Vera as a hair gel ...
Lively Blonde by Sunsilk, is a European formula. Unilever makes Sunsilk and Suave and Dove. My shampoo has only one cone but does not build-up. Look for a shampoo with minimal cones and no glycol distearate, a waxy conditioner ingredient, now being added to shampoos.
I use both. I use the Monistat three days a week, and leave it in between. I only wash once a week, and use the catnip that day. When my hair is nearly dry, I put the Monistat back in.Quote:

No problems of any kind from either product. I do only use the Monistat for three months, then take a month off, just to avoid it building up in my system. I don't know that it does that, but I take a break just in case.
Oh Cool! (actually it's funny - Unilever makes ... !!!)
Thank You much for the precautions! I'm really looking forward to trying this.
I'm getting the 'nip' and steeping pot ordered from Ebay this week. Hope to get in for the Malibu treatment the following week so I should have pretty 'fresh' hair to start with. I'd like to see if it will help prevent the absorption of minerals from the well-water. Currently 8 weeks between treatments is really the limit. It's getting snaggy again.
