You are most welcome. I edited my post to you to fix poo bars to shampoo bars (for non English language speakers and add a bit more for you) while you were replying to me.

:) Thank you. If I can't find it in the pet store, I will try my garden centre for it :) Thank you again :)

This place has it. The brand I currently use is Hagen Catit catnip.

If you try the garden centre, buy Nepeta cataria, common catnip. This will tell you about the different species. Common catnip is not catmint but the names are used interchangeably.

Yo are most welcome. I just added the species information, to the Article. You do not have to buy Hagen Catit catnip. I just like it and it is organic. It is reasonably priced here in Canada.
Re: Catnip for split ends?
I'm sure this has been discussed in this thread, but I have two large catnip plants, can I use the leaves fresh, or do I have to dry them first?
I checked the article and it didn't say anything about using fresh leaves.

I have never seen fresh catnip for sale. I think that you can use fresh catnip but use the buds too, before they open at all. They contain more oil than the leaves. Drying catnip just lets you use it out of season. It blooms between June and September.

My husband and I grew it in our mini greenhouse, so it grows in my house all year long.
So I'd follow the instructions for using the dried leaves then? How much catnip do people usually use?

A number of people follow my dilution but it is based on dried, cut and sifted catnip leaves and buds, 1 level tsp to just under 300 ml of boiled water. That dilution seems to work for more than just me and is great for sensitive skin and dry hair.
