Another brazilian, yaay!! Welcome :o

Seems like there's several of us "Just at collarbone length" here! I'm happy because I finally feel like I'm past neck length, Which by my own choice I was stuck at for over a year. I truly feel like it's gaining traction now :D

Does anyone else have that problem with half up-dos, where all the hair just slips away from the hair tie? Like seriously The layers on the front are so short I can't even tie them back properly. I have used everything to keep the tied back but still they slip away from the elastic. I guess I just have to wait for them to grow a couple centimeters before being able to braid them and tie back :(

You have such lovely hair! Their are people who go to salons to get the body and texture you have naturally. Is it the frizz that causes you to straighten? It is barely there, honestly.
It really depends on how fast your hair grows and the average body type. This chart is based on the average growth of 1cm a month with pin straight hair. If I straightened mine, this chart is accurate for myself as I have measured to be sure. I couldn't say for everyone else though, they would have to do their own measuring.

Thank you Unzadi !
Velco rollers for the wave and the layers I have in it, stepping away from heat tools for my hair. Rollers take a long time to dry but no heat damage and love the way it sits =)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
SO I dont know about the rest of you ladies but in the past Ive usually gotten to this length then it felt like nothing happened and I ended up getting a new style shorter.
This time Im committing to pushing through because I honestly want long healthy gorgeous hair.
And growing out the layers I seem to have had them for years and I have a short one near my ears which Im not sure was intentional or damaged breakage =/ it never sits in any hair style and drives me nuts.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Janne, you are not alone. No layers here, but feeling very in-betweeny lengthwise, missing my shorter and longer hair at the same time.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
My problem is getting past APL length without becoming annoyed, bored, and then buzzing it off. I feel like this is my last chance at arriving at waist length since the age process is kicking my tail right now. I have protective styles planned next year to get me over the hump.

I frequently think back to how much easier it was to maintain a pixie cut, then I think about attempting to go through the grow out again and then I'm like nooooooooooope. Hang in there!
