Your texture is so lovely though, it'll be worth the wait!

I'm really hoping to hit APL by the start of 2022 but it'll definitely be until winter for me as well. At least APL to BSL seems quicker!

Shoulder to APL I feel is one of the longest length journeys for a lot of people, it helps to bring beverages and baked goods (this week we have a nice IPA beer and homemade cinnamon raisin swirl bread)
Thank you! Your baked goods have inspired me - maybe I'll make some cinnamon bread this weekend....

ReadingRenee! I'm trying to wear my hair in a peacock twist or a half up to protect the ends and the fragile little hairs around my face. I'm planning a trim in the beginning of July to neaten up the ends, so expect to be here for a very long time. APL would be the longest my hair has ever been (this is the longest since 2005), so I'm very excited to be here!

VERY good growth rate! You'll be at APL in no time...
APL is such a fun length! You get that thrilling "swoosh" across your back, but in a very gradual and manageable way. It also allows a good variety of hairstyles: from crown braids to pincurls, almost anything can be done with APL hair.

I'm not leaving the thread, I guess I will be hanging around, it will still take some time to get to APL on fully dry, shrinked waves.

OMG, missed your "graduation"! :cheer:
So happy you're sticking around this thread for a while

Your hair looks like it has grown so much! Especially with how curly it is, very pretty!

Thank you! My ends love to flip at this length. Im hoping they calm themselves down a bit as they get longer... :)
This weekend my hair is finally long enough to wear a cinnabun held with two spin pins with no hair falling out! Very exciting. Not a high cinnabun, but not a nape one either, more in the middle of my head. Can't wait til I have a little more hair to make it easier to do.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Hey guys, I've been in serious lurker mode lately. So impressed with everyone's progress!
For my benign neglect... I really have been neglecting it lol! I tend to wear ponytails (both high and low ones) and claw clip twists often, right now I'm wearing it in a french braid. I wear it down pretty often too though.
I haven't even been keeping up with my scalp massages. Haven't been thinking much about my hair lately, too much other stuff going on in my life lol.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Hope you are doing okay and getting plenty of rest!

Hi Oxalis! Nice to see you! Benign neglect/growing is the best mode to get in if you can manage it I think. Hope you are doing ok!
