Why does it seem like such a long stretch between shoulder and apl? Argh! this growing thing takes forever! And my hair grows faster than average. I wish that it was easier to braid now. But I think it will be a while before a simple english braid is more than a braid nub.

Really looking forward to the post-braid-nub part of growing my hair. Maybe then I can avoid all those little hairs flying out of said braid nub and straight into my face o.O

Thanks all! I'm going to wait until next month and try the pics again. I took some others that same day and couldn't get the towel straight to save my life, it was either dipping low or riding up. So I'm just going to wait. Here's to keeping my fingers crossed for a good growth spurt between now and then.

Hurrayyyyy back to my starting point of 18 inches back in December. Now any growth will feel like I'm growing my hair rather than playing catch up. What a slowwwwww process it is.

I got my hair cut last week. I'm back to shoulder and I'm going to be here for a few months, until I grow out my bangs and the remaining bit of layers. Good luck to all people on here!

I am really excited .. I looks like I am about 1" from dusting APL in the front ( I don't even want to think about how far away I am in the back) but yayyyyyyy progress

Here are some old pictures from 2010 after what I described as the best haircut of my life, just for fun. This was less than two years after the worst haircut of my life. That cut was even worse than the big chop I had last year. This is what I'm hoping to get back to. It would be nice if I got there by the end of this year, but we'll see how things play out. I've gone back to the stylist who gave me this amazing cut and color. So I'm in good hands, all I have to do is take good care of my hair and of the rest of me and hope for great growth.

My hair has been in the same french pig tail braids for three days...when I take them out to wash maybe I'll have a surprise extra foot of new hair growth, yeah? One can dream...
