So did you manage to get your stress level under control? Or/and find the underlying cause of your shed?
Thanks for the compliments, my hair looks thick because I fluffed it up a little hehe; 1b hair does that I suppose :P I didn't know it was that hard to take a good picture of the back of your head btw ;)
And I'm trying to grow out henna actually - I sort of liked the colour but I always preferred cooler tones. At the same time I could never be bothered to research about indigo and buy it. I'm also too lazy to tone my hair with some blue toners (damn you laziness!!! I should get over it) then I discovered that I actually like my natural colour, so I'm trying to see more of it :)
My blood tests should come back this week so hopefully doctors can tell whats wrong. They now think it's not only stress but also they have changed my contraceptive pill and the different hormone levels in that caused the hair loss...so they have now changed me back to the one I was on. I like doctors playing guessing games, they will eventually get it right! hopefully...
I love henna! My hair is too dark to achieve same colour as you! I have been using henna and indigo but I will change to just henna from now. What is your natural colour? Good luck with growing it out :)

Thank you, I do like the new look. Have to look on the bright side of this shed...now I have thicker hem line :)
Also, seen your new hair do! Love the fringe (bangs) and the layers. Really suits you :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thanks so much stacelbeere and Neecola, I appreciate the positive comments! :-D Really hoping for solid Apl for my photo next year!
Ummm, I sort of assumed it's uncool to have big pics because everyone is always apologizing for the sizes of their photos. Haha!! I thought I made them the same size as an iPhone screen but it seems that my theory is just wrong.

Well, it'd be great to have House MD or any other fictional doctor who would evaluate your blood test super quickly and find a solution BEFORE you lose most of your hair... :/ I hope they got it right then :)
Thank you! I'm glad you like it :) I actually decided to contribute a few pictures to the ash brown hair thread, here is one that shows my roots: http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3d30de94.jpg
and here is the link to the album where you can see more photos: http://s1299.photobucket.com/user/st...?sort=3&page=1
basically, the bottom third of my hair is processed, in 2011 I had dark brown hair (LOVED that colour so much...) and later had box dyed cool cherry red. Then I was dying with henna in 2012. In February 2013 I stopped using henna.
I actually think we have a very similar hair colour (the dyed part)

Funny you should say that...we have the same virgin hair colour too!? how weird!
I was considering before but now I really want to stop hennaing just to see my natural hair colour. (I have been dying my hair for the last 8 years)
I use to change my hair colour every couple of weeks, then after bleach disaster 2012 been using hendigo ever since.

I think instead of worrying about the thickness and all the shedding, I'll concentrate on growing out hendigo. OOO new challenge!
Judging by your roots, you've had some good growth since february! pretty hair style too! Only thing I can do is french/dutch braids on both sides

Awesome! We could be hair twins then :D do you have fine hair too?
Wow, your photo combo shows a great array of different colours I've had too at some point in my life :) I never had bottle blonde hair though, although I 'bleached' my hair with a highlight spray for blonde hair at some point and it turned out orange. a good orange! I might call it 'strawberry blonde' because it sounds better :P my ex boyfriend fell in love with me and always reminded me how much he liked that colour on me :p
Apart from that I had dark, dark brown hair like yours (my current boyfriend fell in love with me when I had that colour - and he secretly wants me to go back to that ;)). I don't think my red has ever been that intense as yours - although it might be the flash (?) My hair is quiet red in a photo taken with flash.
There are two reasons I gave up henna - first of all, I couldn't be bothered anymore, it was such a hassle and mess and I never reaaaally liked the colour enough to embrace it totally.
The second reason is this picture:

I want to be able to pull this look off. I would like to have my natural colour back, my hair being at least BSLish, and some hidden colourful streaks that are only visible if I braid my hair. I hope I'll get there next year or in two years (fingers crossed!).
I think I'm going to dig out some of my old photos and make a hair story of my own :) I just have to figure out if I want to show my little face on this forum, I might make a semi private album.
By the way, I LOVE your hendigo coloured hair in the last picture!!! I wish I had done some hendigo-ing of my own last year, it looks so shiny and intense :)
Oh!! And you should definitely try a waterfall braid :) I think you'll enjoy it. The good news is that you can do it on your current hair length. It takes some practice but is so worth it.
What I did in that last, huge picture was a waterfall twist, it's easier than the waterfall braid. There are some tutorials on youtube, if you're interested I could find the links.

I think I have reached APL?? I have lots of layers now though, so it's only the longest parts that reach APL. But I just got a cut! I'll wait a month or so before I'll officially call it APL I think :) But still, so long already? It doesn't feel like APL, it feels really short. I still feel like I have collarbone length hair...
And I found this picture in the Photobooth folder, called 'almost shoulder'. It was taken on August 10th last year! So I went from shoulder to APL in just a year? Yay!
