DO IT! You cannot beat a Ficcare for ease of use and all around handiness. I love that I can just stick one in my hair and be done with it. My job requires that I move around a lot during the day but my buns stay secure from sun up to sun down. It looks professional, stays put, and is soooo comfortable. I think they are one of those must have toys. :D
Just an itty bitty one. :)
I had a bunch of bent and unhappy ends, and they were starting to tangle quite a bit.
Argh. I want a ficcare so badly. I was looking at the honey marble ones, those are so pretty. What one do you have?
OIC
Honey marble is gorgeous but I wouldn't get another enameled one because they tend to chip easily if do things like carry them around in your purse. I have a silver matte, a light blond, and a chipped masterpiece brown-- all medium maximas. I also have a silver ficcarissimo that used to have beautiful blue enamel until that chipped off and fell out in one piece. I wear my silver matte the most since it goes with everything. They really are amazingly comfortable and easy to wear. It's great to have such a reliable option. Get one as soon as you can!
I will vouch for the Ficarre as well, they are so comfortable and your hair just does not budge! Easy to use and I find it to be one of my most frequently used hair toys.
Oh I so want to try a Ficcare, but they're just soooo expensive... Curse being college student!
I have a Ficcare Maxima, medium sized but my hair is too slippery for it apparently because it just won't hold my buns or twists at all. :(
I'm hoping that once my hair is longer that won't be a problem anymore. The funny thing is that I have a fakkare (without teeth) that works great. *shrug*
What kind of styles can you do with ficcares??
I have two fakkares. I love them for their ease. The only real style I can do is to just twist my hair up, pop in the fakkare, and leave the ends sticking up on top. heh. Not very smooth and professional, but I don't need that for my job. I want to get a real Ficcare when I move back to the states. So, buy one if you can!!!!!
Lately I have just been keeping my hair up with two hair sticks. I can make a sorta bun with those and it holds all day, with my ends in and not poking up all over the place. I like that better when being out and about.
Soo instead of treatment tuesday i'm having a treatment monday instead :cheese:. I tried coconut cream for the first time today and it was interesting to say the least..
First i tried just microwaving it but it was really gritty and didn't go as smoothly into my hair as i had read on the interwebs, actually it felt a bit like putting henna on dry hair.
So when i rinsed my hands i noticed that the gritty stuff actually dissolved in water, d'oh! So then i put some more of the cream in water and microwaved again. It was perfectly creamy smoothness, like a conditioner! Awesome! So now i'm sitting here with a plastic bag and a towel on my head, about to do a face mask as well and a pedicure :P it's complete treatment monday, not just for my hair :)
