Hey guys. I have finally reached APL again, I think! I joined the LHC in January and reached APL in March or something. Then I cut a lot of hair off in April, I cut my hair to shoulder-length. The cut was a big mistake hahaha. I assumed it would take until March 2020 to reach APL again. Here is my hair a few days after the cut. I cut my hair on 21st April, this is the 24th of April:

I trimmed half an inch off the ends of my hair on 16th November (which is now 3 days ago). I wanted to because the ends were dry and I saw a few split ends. This is my hair on the 17th of November:

I realised that I am now Armpit Length! (or so I assume) What do you think? I think I can move on now yay. No more cuts for me lol. My goal is MBL/BSL. :D
I don't measure by inches, just by how it looks lol.

I myself am back here after getting my hair chopped to chin length in early June... I haven't been around this forum for a while now! I probably got at least 10 inches cut off and most of it was bleach damage. When I couldn't get the tangle teezer through my hair in the shower I knew it was just time, haha. Short hair is so easy that I wasn't even sure I wanted to keep growing, but I just realized the other day that I can use my hair sticks and forks again at a little past shoulder length and discovered how excited I am to have that option back. Getting to do fun things with my hair = incentive to keep going! I am now looking forward to a much healthier APL this time.

How do y'all deal with the urge to see how close you are? How long do you wait before measuring?
Check out the No Length Check challenge. ;) quite a few of us have gathered there to fight the urge. Once you go long enough you may just forget about it.

I've been trying the over the head thing, but I think you're right, it's too short to really do properly. I get between 15-16.5 inches depending on the day.
I'm like... gonna put a note on my calendar a month from now and not let myself measure until then

You're welcome. Just see next year, or so. At the start of the year. It only grows 1/2 inch a month, if you're lucky, don't let anyone fool you with "inches" and such, although there are "some" exceptions, there always are, but they are on either side of that 1/2 inch.
