Thanks to my new oblong octopus claw clips, I can now put my hair up in one piece instead of sectioning! Granted, a couple of pieces still fall down, but... Baby steps!

How do I protect my hair at night at SL? I've been trying to do braids but they fall out by the time I wake up
Just cut to shoulder from bsl today, so hi.
I'd had weird breakage that gave my hemline the look of an extremely grown out A-line bob, though I've never had that style. I am blaming rough treatment, scarves and too-tight flipped through ponytails. At any rate, I am now alternating between "ahh, fresh new ends, and even hemline" and "this is really short (compared to what I'm used to.)" Playing with new hair is always fun, though, and I have a clean start on growing again.
First time posting in thread even through I've been at shoulder like since like September.
But I was kinda discouraged because APL is quite long on me and I didn't even think I would make it until the end of 2016.
But then I looked in the mirror and I was half-way to APL. :o
Hi! I'm declaring shoulder now - it's more like collarbone, but it bends against the tops of my shoulders so looks shorter. APL is the next milestone!
It's finally long enough to do a French twist, if I can figure out how again. Are there any good resources for other styles that work on this length hair? I'm a total klutz, so the simpler the better!
Thanks, Arctic! I scrolled back a few pages and browsed some more - one or the other strategy turned up your blog already! You've got a great list of styles that work - and I love the pictures you put along with your own experiences with the style. As a confirmed hair klutz, my next step will be taking your style names to youtube for some handholding tutorials! I saw a lot of things I would never have guessed shoulder-length hair could do, so THANKS for expanding my options!
Arctic's styles are one of the big reasons I felt comfortable taking the plunge and cutting to shoulder. Oodles and oodles of fun stuff to try.
I've been really lazy about learning new styles since I joined LHC. But Arctic has posted so many tempting styles that is is really worth checking out.
