Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thank you, everyone, for the welcome! :)
fhairyqueen love how you did your daughters' hair. Especially the older one, I'd love to do this on my own hair! My hair is very fine too. What's the updo called?

Nice one! There's only one way to find out for sure ;)

Thank you . You can’t see from the picture but there is a braid around the front I copied it from a YouTube video of a little girl having her hair done like Anna from frozen , her coronation hairstyle . It’s my first attempt so it could be a lot better :)

Anyway, i am not combing/brushing my hair this week At all (only finger combing). I wonder if my texture will change in any way.
I am also keeping my hair up this month as much as i possibly can.
Gonna be sporting a tiny peacock twist today with a claw clip... I also used a tiny claw clip to clip the hair that escaped the twist. I can see the tiny baby hairs growing in at my forehead... They are light and super fine and they wurl around.

Your twist is so cute! I remember how happy I was when I finally was able to manage a peacock twist a month ago. I still have escaping layers held with a mini claw clip, but now I can make my twist softer.
How your only finger combing routine is going? I am thinking to try it too, but I enjoy the feeling when I brushing my hair and scalp. So I am not sure. When my hair was long I wear it up all the time and combed it every other day, but since it is short I brush it twice a day. Did you got knots?

Thank you! I am glad i can clip my hair instead of using elastics, though lately i have been using those "bobble" thingies. They don't break my hair at all.
My finger combing routine is going well. I thought my hair will get oily faster because of the touching, but it didn't seem to get more oily than usual.
Yesterday i had really pretty waves, since i barely touched my hair post washing.
Today i put it in a ponytail, so the top straightened out a little because it was pulled back all day, but the rest of my hair is still wavy, especially at the ends.
I lost much less hair than usual too, but it could be because i put it up, instead of wearing it down. :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Lately my hair has been feeling longer - like it’s creeping up on medium length instead of just short. I’m pretending my hemline isn’t totally crooked (I micro trimmed the very front bits but now it’s longer on the right side, whoops!) but I will probably be getting it professionally trimmed around June or July, so I’m going to continue to ignore that until then. Just been benign neglecting it, I guess. Am attempting the 30 days 30 hairstyles challenge over on instagram this month, for some variety. Just checking in since I’ve been a bit absent from LHC lately (: I still read threads but haven’t had time to upload photos or post much, I’ve been pretty busy at home and work the last few months. Looks like everyone is making good progress!

Stray_mind, congrats on the peacock twist, that looks lovely!
wispe, nice one! It's so good when it finally starts to feel longer :D Best of luck with the challenge. Do you get to choose the styles, or is there a pre-set menu?
Mine's still approx. a million miles to APL, but at least there's plenty of it.

I'm still hopeful for the summer, but that hope is getting thinner as time goes on. Still, it's growing, and I've managed to hold off bleaching the roots since the end of last year. My regrowth's coming in blonde now there's enough of it to properly see, and not looking quite as awful as I'd imagined, but it's still not great. At least with the pink/purple ombre it doesn't look as bad as it could though, and I can still enjoy it.

Have you tried the towel test ? You don’t look that far away . Summer sounds reasonable to me

Thank you.
I second the towel/measuring tape test. Your hair looks already pretty long to me. There are still some months left until summer, you can get there :)
Love your colors btw!
