Yeah, practice is the key to braiding. I still can't french braid worth a darn, not even an awful-looking french braid. I couldn't do it at MBL, I couldn't do it at chin length, I can't do it now.

I'm aggravatingly close to APL! I'm not going to call it until a good portion of it is solidly there, but it's so close! This is a comparison of my hair at my last haircut, six months ago almost exactly to the day (March 1). Between each picture I trimmed about an inch off in microtrims, so realistically, my growth in six months is an inch more than the picture portrays. I'm so thrilled!
This community is so positive and has done the world for me embracing my hair as it grows out.
My roots are insane! I did my last henna three weeks ago and already have ridiculously obvious roots. Not sure what is prompting this growth spurt, but I'll take it!

I've decided that my next goal after reaching APL (what should happen in 1 or 2 months) will be to start trimming monthly, maintaining at APL while getting rid of my layers. So I'll graduate and start it over again lol
Well I just checked this morning and my (wet) hair now reaches APL! It's still probably ~1" off dry but I'm so, so happy to be here - I think I'll probably join the APL to BSL thread but stay here as well until I can call absolute APL lol
Its the 13th again, back for my monthly update =). The chart shows almost no growth from last month, but after measuring I know I went up my usual half inch and I'm sitting at 20" now. It's really nothing special to anyone else here, but I haven't had hair this long in over a decade and it just feels amazing. I was in shock when I straightened the first lock and saw how far down it fell! I'm just loving it so much =) One inch, so two months, until APL!

Wow, you all have impressive growth!:joy:
I'm almost back to shoulder length but i am a very slow grower so it will take me much longer to reach apl. But you all inspire me:applause.
