I'm so close to being at a solid APL. My shortest layer is lagging behind the rest and needs about two months to join the rest at APL. SO excited! Thank you, LHC! :o

That's great Avis! Me shortest layers are still somewhere around shoulderlength. When I do a frenchbraid, the regular braid part is so thin! I look forward to get all layers down in that braid. :D
I seriously need to find good hairstyles for gymnastics. Regular ponytail slips out and get loose in fast exercises like flips and back handsprings, especially since I stopped using reglar elastics and only use satin scruchies (slippery!) for ponytails. I think double, tight frenchbraids would work but they make me look 7 years old -_-
I climb very often and have APS longest layer, shoulder length shortest layer. Here is the style that works best for me is (I am going to try my best to explain it, not native English here :/): I first do half up-half down with an elastic, and once the upper part of my hair is up I make a regular braid with all the hair, including the part that is up already. This way the shortest layer stays well held and the rest is braided and protected from climbing chalk (sooo drying) or getting stuck inside the gear or the rock.
It doesn't look great, honestly, since the end of the braid is ridiculously thin... but it holds all day and is comfortable enough. I do use regular elastics.
Let me know if you find something that works well! Good luck :)
It's so nice to feel my hair brushing my back/shoulders again. :) I'm considering joining no trims in 2014 but I never make it the whole year. If I can avoid trimming until I can put it up, I'll be happy.
My hair gloss was supposed to be here today, but it isn't. Oh well.. Maybe tomorrow.
Brujinus, thanks for the advice. I tried it just now and think it will work, but I need to practise my regular-braiding skills to get it tight enough to hold!
What kind of hair gloss did you get, battles?
Glad it helped, askan! Stay calm and keep braiding ;)

I picked out the Hair Loosened and Soiled in Mid Orgies scent. :p "White honey, warm musk, and ambrette seed." I'm way too excited to try it.
I just want to take a second to pat myself on the back and to thank everybody on here for the inspiration that they inadvertently have given me. Typically, at this point in my hair growth, I would have gone back super short. It's nice to know that other people in the world are struggling through this phase of growth at the same time.
Clarified and air dried this evening:
So I need your opinions guys...my ends are pretty damaged from growing out bleach and dye and Ive noticed my hair just doesnt look as nice anymore....My goal was to not trim for one whole year which would be in June 2014...should I trim or maintain or not trim?? If I do trim I really dont want to be losing more than about half an inch and even that would hurt....argh what to do what to do
