Neneka, that's horrible! I have a friend who had pink hair and apparently got a lot of nasty comments as well :( People are cruel when someone is just a little different. It's just hair, come on! :rolleyes:
Yeah, I don't also get how a hair colour can be such a big deal to some. Maybe their life is really miserable and putting someone down just makes them feel better for two seconds or something. :rolleyes: I am glad I tried green anyway. :)

What mean people. I was just looking at green hair today and thinking "WOW I WANT!" :laugh: people are so mean sometimes. I've had lots of different coloured hair...the favourite reactions of mine have been that of children!
I had purple and got complements for the most part. One lady freaked out on me but everyone else seemed to like it or just skip saying anything to me. When I just had a streek of purple nobody said anything but my friends who were all positive.
wow. I'm sorry that happened to you Neneka. Try to let those nasty words roll right off you, onto the ground, then walk away from them--no playing them over and over in your head. Some people are just immature and nasty.
--I attended a fun event last weekend, and the DJ (guy that kept the music going) was an older fellow and bald on top. The rest of his hair was shaggy and gray, except for a little, braided tail in the back that was about a foot longer than the rest. One of my aunties made a comment to anyone who would listen, about getting some scissors and snipping it off, then giggled behind her hand!?! If auntie was 13 years old, I'd let it slide, but she's in her 60's!!! I wasn't in a position to shut her down, or I would have. Geez! She should know better! I think she must be a very insecure person. Socially immature and insecure.--

Neneka - People can be vile! My daughter has turquoise hair and she seems to elicite extreme reations from people and they either love it or hate it. She doesn't really care either way as she loves it but she does find it odd that complete strangers feel the need to tell her what they think of it, as though their opinion is in some way so important and will be so relevant to her that they have to let her know what it is.
Don't let other people decide what you do with your hair, it's your hair not theirs. I love green hair and pink and purple and turquoise and all the other daring and lush shades people have. :)
I am debating what color I want to go with as my spoil myself this semester thing since new piercings or ink is out for now. Any thoughts? I won't bleach but I think the silvers will really pop with some fun colors. I have liked Manic Panic and will stick with it. I have used Purple Haze and Vampire Red before and loved both. Nothing in the Manic Panic jar color line will be out of bounds.
