Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I just realized this: I never straighten my hair to measure it, and my spine curves at a nine degree angle so one of my shoulders is higher than the other. When I stretch out a curl to see the length, I always do it on the right side, which is a good inch and a half lower. When I check my length on the right side, I'm hovering just above apl. Which means that on the left side, I can call it already.
Does that make any sense? Sorry if that was terribly confusing.

Yes!
2 months ago I started water only-washing, with massaging atleast once a day. And I definitely noticed increased growth (ofc it could have been the lack of chemicals too) I'm not on WO anymore but I'll try to keep ut with the massages...

Here's my 19 inch or so hair in a LWB. These seem to look really good the second or third day after a wash.

Well, I know why, I'm just frustrated.

Awesome bun. :D My hair has too many layer-like-things in it to manage that right now. Jealoussss...
So far french braids (twin) are working for me very well.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thanks all. Some great tips helped me to do this bun, but with layers or thick hair it will be more of a challenge. Let's see some of those braids you all can do at this length. I want to drool over those. I haven't learned to really braid yet.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I am working on learning how to french braid while my hair is still short enough to stay fairly tangle free right now so no pictures yet although the DH thinks the double piggytail braids look like a sophisticated version of pigtails. My hair is not quite long enough to have any braid left to tie off in a single when I do it.

I definitely need new hair toys.
