Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I think I'm gonna come back, guys. My hair is really frustrating me. I flat ironed my hair two days ago (back to curly now, though). In some pics, it looked APL, but then in others, it looked like it's not
Also, when I looked in the mirror, it looked a good few inches away from APL.
I think this picture is accurate, so I'm still calling APL, but I will stay here until there's no question where I'm at.

Welcome back to the club, CurlyCurves!
When I look in a mirror, my hair looks a couple inches shorter than it is too, but I think it's just because of the way I'm turning my head.

That's a good thought, actually. Didn't think of that one :rollin:

I'll cheerlead! :cheer:
(But I'm a cheerleader ;))
We might graduate at around the same time then (though your canopy will be lovely and long by then!).

Maybe it's just because it's me, but I don't see much of a difference. WHY HAIR WHY?
Edit : Just realized the date on the photo should be June 2. D'oh.
I think there's a difference too :)

I see the growth:agree:
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thanks everyone! Maybe it's just harder to see growth on yourself. My hair is a little drier in the first picture. On the second it was sopping wet.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I can't recommend this enough for summer. I've been doing a tucked french braid, held in place with my pair of hairsticks. It's really, really cute and it gets my hair off my neck entirely with very little chance of falling down, unlike hairstick buns.

Still working on the whole braiding skillz thing. I'm sure some of you are way better at it than I am. Give this a try and post pictures? :eyebrows:
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Cute, battles! Alas, I my layers aren't very conducive to French braiding... Or any braiding, really
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Battles I've been doing something very similar held with a slide, great minds think alike.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Do you tie off the braid before tucking?
