Shoulder | Armpit

I am. I have been here for almost a year now. I find that once I do reach APL I will have to let it grow a couple of inches more because of shrinkage. I do not mind it since I am almost at APL, but it will be nice once I do get there because it will be the first time in my adult life that my hair will be this long, healthy, curly and natural (no heat styling and chemicals).

Im just past shoulder and I am SO IMPATIENT to get to APL. I feel like there's nothing interesting I can do with my hair right now. I've decided not to start oiling until I hit APL, just deep condition, so as soon as I hit I'll be ramping up the care. Until then, boringness.

I have 2.5 inches to go to APL....

I'm also growing my hair from shoulder to APL. I wear my hair up everyday but I still must use clips and stuff to put my layers back. I hate it.. I would love just to put my hair back without the use of clips and stuff..

Im JUST at APL... that was one of the most annoying awkward growth stages ever.

I hate it!

In the summer it sticks to you neck, if i have it up my layers fall out. I cant do most updos as its too short and messy, braids are a disaster, having it downs no better because the layers make it look shorter, thinner and it flicks out all over the place!!!!

ARGH! APL hurry up!

I really am not a big fan of this length on me. It's just getting long enough where I start to think of it as long, it's not long enough to do a lot of things with, and my hair plain looks like crap most of the time at this length. It's the same length I've grown to a couple of times before and chopped. :rolleyes:

I have blunt bangs that I've decided to grow out, but that won't start to be evident for awhile since they're about an inch above my eyebrows. They're starting to look crappy as they're longer than will stay put in the right way, but too short to pull back in any way.

My hair just won't look good down no matter what I do, so I decided to join the wear your hair up challenge to see me through this phase.

I'm in the same boat. It'seems as if my hair is not growing, but then again I know it is. Feel like I'm in no man's land. However, just measured and came in at 21" curly and should be officially APL curly in about 3 months.

A good thing to add about this length: Can't see split ends from breakage! I don't have any splits on my cut ends, though I know I have a little breakage higher up from ponytail elastics. I can't get those strands in front of my eyes, so no S&D yet.

Im exactly the same, i look and look and look and expect it to grow in front of my eyes! But now i just tie it back every weekday and obssess at weekends only lol and its surprising how i see growth when im not paying so much attention!

My ends are splitend free too but my laters have a lil damage :( And i also cand S&D because i cant really see my ends very well and i cant do it in the mirror without cutting the wrong bits!

If i didnt have any trims from now to xmas i'd be past APL i think but since i have layers i have to get at least a micro trim to tame them!

i had a microtrim yesterday and hair feels soooo much nicer.. i am noticing its starting to grow slowly.. im currently just at 16 inches but its just being so slow :(
