Inevitably I go for a "trim" that hairdressers turn into a major chop because they see barely anything on the floor when they cut off an inch or two. I swear my growth cycle is like 2 years, and any hairs that happen to go past shoulder are few and far between. 2-6 is supposedly normal. Sigh.
October will be a full year since I've gotten a hair cut. I might have to brave a salon again for a hem-thickening trim in the soon. I'll do my best to ignore, ignore, ignore to hold it off as long as possible.

So yes I know this is an old post, but somehow I missed a page of posts last month and I just had to comment on your picture InTheCity. I just wanted to echo the others and say that I think your hemline and your hair look great! We really are our own harshest critics. Your hemline reminds me of mine actually, with the flippy ends.

Thank you so much! I am hoping I can call it comfortably in October or at least November! I had actually made a hair cutting appointment for the end of September but I cancelled it today and felt relieved, so I think it was the right decision. I'm going to try to make it to the end of the year before I trim, that way I will still be at APL (just barely) when I do.

Stay the course Bat! You are doing great! I have decided to stay the course as well at least until the end of September. And then maybe the rest of the year too.
Took my towel test picture today and I am soooo painfully close! My hair looks wonky because it lives in a bun so lots of flippy ends but I can see how close I am. I will take another official-length picture at the beginning of October.

WOW! ReadingRenee, your hair has grown so much. You are, in my opinion, at APL. If it were wet, you would surely be there!
Congrats, your hair is as lovely as ever. :crush:

My collarbone is about an inch or so above the bottom of the necklace, and my longest bits are - what, an inch or so past the necklace? I've not been measuring recently, which has been helping with being a bit less obsessive about my hair!
I had wondered if I might hit APL by the end of the year, but that's seeming wildly optimistic now - APL still seems a far and distant land!
DropStitches, another WOW! Your hair has gotten so long!
APL awaits you, keep the focus! :blossom: Beautiful!

Your hair looks great! So healthy. I can't wait to see your length pic in Oct. I bet you will be well into the zone of APL by then.

I was thinking today that I am now making the great traverse down my back... SL to Hipp! What a journey. Thank goodness for the milestones along the way. My final goal is finger tip. But making it down my back would be a huge accomplishment!

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Yeah it is Apl is basically top of mbl on us, yet I've seen some people who's hair looked really short at apl, I thought I've had apl before but I'm wondering if I only got half way.
my goals thigh knee or floor but I think I'd be happy at hip length

I don't believe you, Bat! That's what I said about tailbone once upon a time. *giggles*
Beautiful pics, everyone! I love lurking in this thread and seeing all the longhairs in the making.
