Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Today, I started oiling my hair with MCT (caprylic acid only) oil instead of mineral oil. I hope it will actually nourish my hair in addition to protecting it from mechanical damage.
Next Sunday, the 15th, I will take a length update picture. I'm going to do them every other month instead of every month, because otherwise any progress won't be noticeable. It seems like my longest layer is now 2" past SL instead of 1" past SL. But, it doesn't seem like my shorter layers have even reached SL yet! Maybe the oiling and silk scarf haven't been helping with breakage from sleeping... :(

Do the top layers grow more slowly? Mine definitely do.

They didn't use to, but I suppose that could've changed--everything else about my hair sure did, recently!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
my hair is in stall for sure, which sucks lol, maybe I'll maintain for the rest of the year
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I had a little summer growth spurt! So about 2.5 more inches until APL, which is exciting!

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I just got married and cut my past-waist hair up to shoulder with shaggy layers (to help my full bangs grow out seamlessly). I just love growing it, I guess! I did one last updo on my own for my wedding, but my hair was getting *too* long for lots of things. I'm here for the 3rd time, to enjoy the growing process XD

What a beautiful updo! It looks so romantic. Congratulations on your wedding too!
Having bangs integrated with the rest of your hair is definitely a nice starting point to grow from.

Just beautiful! Congratulations! :blossom:
I have bangs and layers, too, but I'm going to keep my bangs while growing.
