Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Hello everyone, sorry for being away for a long time again. I moved to a new place directly after the very time consuming internship I had, then I had an exam and also a foreign visitor, so my life has been all over the place. I finally had some time today to take a monthly photo, I'm 6 days late, but it'll have to do.

I've gotten to the point where my hair feels like it is apl, but I am not sure if I should call it yet since my hair still "curls up" a bit and isn't always touching that invisible line between the armpits. I think I might wait a few weeks more, or even to the very end of this year, before I call it.

:thudpile: Estriiiiiiiiiiiid your haaaaiiiiirrrrr. It's so gorgeous I want to steal iiiiiiiit.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Estrid, wow, I really like everything about your hair, it is gorgeous already! And you're sooo close to APL, you will certainly be there by the New Year!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thank you, Corvana and victorian girl :o I do believe I will be there pretty soon, and I do think I called it at this point last time I grew out my hair, but I'm not in a rush, I can wait. APL would only mean that it's time to start microtrimming my hair again, all those funny layers needs to go. I'm still not sure how I will go about it, maybe 1 cm every month or so, we'll see!
I really should try to make it a habit to come on here every day, this place really makes me happy. Maybe I should share my braiding progress, progress I have not had yet since I totally forgot about trying to braid my hair every day :couch: not sure how fun that would be for you others to see, but it would probably make me come online more often, so why not try, for my own sake :o

I see a hair strand already brushing APL, my guess is you'll get there before the end of the year. By then you will probably have some extra length to trim off and still be at APL (if you really want to trim).
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Clawed my way here through the depths of the super shorty pixie, made it past a hairdressers over zealous trim, through chin to shoulder, now ready to make a 6 month / 1 year? pit stop at the world of Shoulder to APL.
Im super excited whenever I think about it, as my hair is about to boldly grow where its never reached before.
Although getting excited about APL hair is like getting excited about the thought of Christmas, then remembering it's currently March.
Grow grow grow!

Welcome to our club! I've been through growing out a pixie too once upon a time - and it's quite a challenge, so you've already come a long way, congratulations!

Oh yes!! I'd love to see your braiding progress! And maybe it'll motivate me to braid too...

More like twelve year, with how long it seems to take LOLOL.
Welcome to the thread!!

Welcome, OhSuzi!
GalaMoon, yeah, I do have a few strands that seem to touch apl however I stand, but I guess that's just the nature of having that flip, it they all straightened out in the end I would be apl for sure :p I'll just wait some more, nothing wrong with waiting.
I will try to post a braid photo every day starting tomorrow. It is a bit of a high aim, to do that every day, but why not try? ^.^ It will mean a lot of poorly made braids in this thread, I hope you all are OK with that :silly:

Well, I'm so impatient to get to APL that I don't understand the waiting part .
Please do post pictures, I know I could use some inspiration. When it comes to braiding, I'm stuck at the French braid
