Corvana, I hope you will hit BSL by your birthday! LOL, your projected timeframe for TBL is basically my target for BSL! (I'm hoping my hair will pleasantly surprise me...)
The way mine's growing right now I'll end up with accidental layers if I don't trim - or even if I do trim, seeing as I'm getting the least cut off possible. I've already got what looks like a fringe growing out, but is just the very front of my hair being unable to catch up with the rest! It's so weird how I never noticed that the front grows slower, and the top kinda medium, while it seems (from regrowth in my hair dye pics) that the back and undersides grow fastest. Scheduling trim for the weekend after next. I should actually book that at some point, to make sure she can fit me in.
I also noticed how the vast majority of my sheds have no root regrowth, which makes sense seeing as they have to have been in the dormant stage in order to shed naturally in the first place - but it did take me a while of looking at them before I worked that out. Not having the most brainy of weeks!
I really need to learn to take a consistent photo, but anyway, here's the growth since May! (02 May, 06 June, 23 July) The last one's at a different angle thanks to mirrors etc, but it's certainly got longer. I put a towel on so I could see how long it is to APL and it's literally forever. :thud: I still hope to make it by December 2018 though.

That's pretty good growth, though! At least a full inch, if not an inch and a half. Is your growth about average? Also your towel is totally dipping down, so it looks like it's more than it actually is!
I miss having colorful hair... But my natural color is very dark, so I needed a ton of bleach and my hair was always terrible after.

LOL yeah, I think the towel wanted to head south, even though I clipped it in place. It grows around average as far as I can tell. I don't measure overall, but I do measure my root regrowth (the easy bit!) and it's between 1.2cm and 1.5cm a month so far.
I'm very lucky that mine doesn't take much at all to get it to platinum, but it's not sustainable long term, it's just too much upkeep and I worry about the condition taking a nosedive once my lengths reach a few years old. I keep looking at the henna threads. I tried henna many years back and liked it, but it didn't give me as dramatic a colour as I wanted. I'm planning on henna and direct dyes once it's long enough for the fire ombre I fancy. Until then though I'm really enjoying pinks.
What colours did you have?

Pink and purple! For awhile just purple, and then purple with pink roots (my favorite tbh), and then when I gave myself a pixie I kept the pink with purple tips before just going all pink and then one more all purple before giving it up.

My more "guessy" measurements:

HOW?!?!? I think I was half asleep. It's mostly fine until about BSL where it just... goes all weird. And how is it 12" from my ankles to the floor?! Tbh I may not have changed the last one from the example because I don't expect to ever want that long of hair. I think I stopped at mid-thigh. And I'm pretty sure that instead of letting the tape hang to measure to classic, I curved it around which added a few inches due to my bottom. :shakes fist: First it makes pants and skirts a pain, and then it makes my hair measurement weird!
Here's the measurements done much more properly (but still by myself, so probably a bit of error still):

Now, this one also has the goal calculations with another data point, so the timetable is different, of course. And mid-thigh is actually my FTL measurement, as I didn't take an actual mid-thigh. But I'd assume it was half the difference of classic and knee, right? I should fix that... So 49.5"? Done!
I'll still hit classic, on this current growth rate track, in under 2 years which is still very very fast. And I may be at BSL by my birthday! Oooooh!
It makes me happy how close our measurements are. We can be growing buddies through almost all the milestones!

Thanks _fred_, and I see you've had good growth too! I had my hair hot pink and adored it but I didn't know about hair care at the time...so I'm sure you can imaging the crispiness. >.> Looks great on you!

Thank you! And yep, I can totally imagine the crispiness. I've been there - when I used to use box dyes, before I learnt to only do the roots each time. I've sworn off them now, my hair was so frizzy and damaged. All the damage has been cut off, and I'm far more careful now!

Hi everyone! I have graduated from the chin-shoulder length thread.
Sorry for no pics - my phone is ancient.
My plan is to grow to APL and then reassess whether I still want my layers. At the moment my hair seems happier with layers than when it used to be all one length. I can do a peacock twist if I need to, so all is good.
Fred that is quite some growth you have had there! Cool colours.

:cheer::joy: Congrats on hitting shoulder!! Welcome to the thread!
I like layers, and will probably give myself some when my hair is much longer. I wouldn't want the shortest layer to be anything shorter than APL, I don't think!
