I'm growing from APL to BSL myself!! I'm wondering about microtrimming, I might attempt to do that for the rest of this year for a no-trim 2018! Getting myself to BSL will be great!! Then I'll be on to keep going all the way to classic. :heartbeat :heartbeat
Great growth and see you in the next thread, Elfa!
Congratulations, Elfa! :happydance:
This has reminded me I need to find a way to take proper length shots - I love seeing when other people are making progress and it'd be great to be able to do the same.
I'm back to a solid SL+ headed back to hip, then longer probably. I'm on a pretty good benign neglect routine right now, focusing on my kids, work, and finishing my degree. I might check in every once and a while. Happy growing my lovelies!
Welcome and happy growing! I wish I could neglect my hair more, but I touch it a lot for various reasons. Once I can put it up fully I'm sure that'll stop! Darn me cutting my front a bit too much shorter than my back  Although when stretched it's almost CBL in front, the illusion of it being much much shorter is just because it curls up on my shoulders as it dries LOL
While I was typing this up I decided to see if one of the lovely clips I got from RAOK (it's a curved clip with a comb-thing underneath? idk what it's called) would actually work to hold a bun (I can go around one whole time if I put it in the right spot!). And it does! It no longer looks like a bun or anything, but of course not it's tiny lol. Some nape hairs dropped out, but they can't really reach anyway.
This clip is so nice and comfy. I love it so much.
Hey! I'm new to LHC :). My hair is just 1-2 inches shy of APL and I'm so excited! My hair has never been longer than APL because I would get aggravated with this length. It's not long hair, but it's not a hairstyle like a bob. It's just blah. I've cut my hair 2x times at this length but no more! I am determined to have hair all the way down my back :heartbeat. Hang in there everyone!
thank you both :D
and yes, length shots are great! especially if you take them every month, cause then you can always go back a couple of months and see your progress. or even check 1 or 2 years before. it's good to keep yourself motivated, growth can be hard to track if you trust only your guts
Good luck!! APL to BSL is an awkward stage for me as well, and I tend to cut it the most then. Once I made it (apparently) to almost waist, but since I had terrible hair care and couldn't do more than ponytail it or poorly cinnabun with pins (no forks! no sticks! not even a CLAW CLIP which I lived for in high school) I wanted it gone. I'm more determined now, and instead of getting there via neglect (not even benign neglect, since I was just ignoring it), I plan to get there with some extra care on top of benign neglect.
Plus I've got a couple forks, a stick, and three big clips to keep my hair up comfortably when not in a scrunchie!! Definitely helpful IMO.
