You may get some unstretched length, but my hair is too tightly coiled for that to happen. Google hair shrinkage and be prepared to be amazed.

My hair is also very tightly curled (4a/4b) and I'm already waist length stretched but only shoulder length unstretched. By my estimations I'll have to be about classic or mid thigh to reach waist in a wash and go, so I have a long road ahead of me.

I want to embrace my natural texture even more, so it will be a journey of discovery :)

Holy, that must be so frustrating at times. At least you can see all your progress stretched so you know it is moving lol. It sure gives me a little perspective for when mentally complain I'm not seeing results fast enough.

Not really, because it keeps my hair out of the way. I have been natural for over 20 years, so it is like a part of me, conventions be damned. :)

I googled hair shrinkage and was blown away by some of the pictures. I find it so fascinating.

Hi guys! Just wanted to pop in and post a little update.
I feel like my hair hasn't been growing in forever, but I'm a bit more encouraged by these photos.

If the red line on your top is APL, you have already passed it. Congrats!

However much I wish it to be true, it hasn't quite reached APL. In fact, when I do the towel test, I am way off APL.
Seems a bit weird, but it's probably because of the angle that the photo was taken with. Who knows!

I checked today, my wet hair is brushing APL! So exciting! Hopefully by May I'll have it at APL dry :p
