Ahh brilliant! I was dreading a 3+ month stall. Thanks :)

Looks like I'll be in this thread for a while, I was almost at APL, maybe half an inch, and then I went and cut it to my collarbone. But it's so much closer to one length, has more weight to it, feels thicker now that I cut out the wacky taper due to the layers. I lost about 2 in but I'm finally happy with the condition! Hopefully I hit a growth spurt this spring! :meditate:
Hey, newbies! I don't know about sunlight, but I do know my scalp hates the cold and my growth stalled this winter. Oddly enough, my hair thickened slightly, so that is a plus. I get my best length checks on soaking wet hair, but DH has to help me with the pics.
I've just begun taking some supplements for skin, hair and nails by the brand Solgar. I'm hoping this will allow me to hit solid APL for all over my head by June/July. HAs anybody tried this brand before? They were the only ones I could find on amazon that didn't use beef gelatine (or any gelatine).
Hello everyone!
I have not been very active on the forums for a long time, mostly because I cut my hair and ended up having a lot of other things to think about. I still have no clue what I want with my hair, but I know that I want it longer than now, so I will be growing it out again, this time slower and more thought through than last time.
I don't regret cutting my hair, I had forgotten about some of the issues I had with short hair, which I now will remember. It also filled my need of having it short for a while, I did like it for the first 3-4 months, which is an indicator of that it was the right choice at the time (else I bet I would have regretted it right away).
My hair just touch the shoulders now, about the length it was when I first joined these forums (maybe a few cm longer than it was). I will be aiming at getting it all to one length before I start growing it out for real, will be microtrimming away the bangs and layers, both of which I had to deal with last time I grew it out. I feel that one-length would be easier to maintain healthy and split-free when growing.
I will probably start microtrimming once I hit collarbone length to get rid of the layers slowly and hopefully have it all removed till when I hit apl, after that... well, as I said: I don't know what i want, but longer hair, ooooh yes :bluebiggr
Last time I think it took around 6 months to hit apl from this length, I will probably need a full year now, maybe more, unless I let it grow past apl while I still have some layers (which might happen since I know how tough it gets to cut it all one length at such a "short" length).
I should stop talking and come to the point, I'm happy to be back!

So I finally remembered to ask DBF to snap a pic of my hair from the back and it didn't look quite the way I expected!
On the plus side: I thought my hemline was far more uneven! I'm pleased to see that the back isn't 1-2" shorter, as I expected as I'm growing out an inverted lob - though it still feels shorter as I run my hands through it?? Odd.
On the down side: I thought I was a tad closer to APL than this. Though my hair doesn't usually do such a flick at the ends (I don't think?). Is it unreasonable to think it might be at proper APL in 6-8 weeks? I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
