I've got about 4 inches of the bleach left, I'm 1.5 inches past shoulder, and about 3 inches to get to APL. I am being optimistic and aiming for APL in early March.
I have made a couple big chops since joining LHC, but I swear I'm leaving it alone until APL at least. The bleach I've got left is manageable, so I'm back on track (big sigh of relief).
I'm growing out some bleach too. You can do it! :blossom:

Growth photo for October 2017. Next photo at the end of December, and will hopefully be APL by then. :meditate:

I think I'm going to grow it out, at least to BSL. Then I'll be able to do French twists and basic buns. I may decide to grow to waist again so I can make wrapped buns like the Neoma Knot, which was my "go to" do.
I am dreading the in between stage where it has no style and I can't really put it up to get it out of the way.
P.S. I just bought a few tiny barrettes from France Luxe to clip my bangs back. Buying new hair toys makes everything better! :)
Ooooh new hair toys! Welcome to the thread!

You can do it! I think I've got about the same left to grow as well.

Thank you, Corvana! :flower: I feel so happy now that I've decided to let my hair grow again.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thanks Corvana, Eastbound&Down and Neoma! :flower: Almost there!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I know my hair is growing, I can see my roots coming in and my grays are getting longer. But I swear when I look in the mirror, my length hasn't changed at all! I hate this length when I'm trying to grow it out.

I feel you sooooooo hard with this. I'll notice something like... All my hair stays in an english braid now, or less explosion from my buns. But then I go to look at actual length and it looks like nothing has changed at all.
Such a depressing length IMO lmao. I do think if my hair wasn't so thick (and it's not even a iii!) I'd have more fun at this length. I can braid it, but get barely 3 bumps past my scalp so doing anything with it is difficult. But if I leave it down it just catches on my clothes which is very annoying. It won't stay in a bun. I can do a peacock twist, and a ponytail, and that's about it? And it's so booorrrriiiiiinnggg. I'm so jealous of fred's flipped braids! I wanna do that!! They're so cute!! But nooooooo my tiny but fat braid will flip up but nothing will hold it there comfortably  And tucking the ends down? HA.

Girl, exactly me. I have pretty thick hair and i get tops 4 bumps if I do twin French braids. Updos right now are ponytail, sock bun and that's about it. I can't really even start to play with it until almost BSL. So for noe just have to fiddle my thum s and wait.

I think I'll get APL and be ok? My circ is only 3.5", which is still quite thick at this stage but soon enough it'll really feel like a ii. But I may need to creep to halfway between, who knows! Back when I had longer hair I never paid attention to it and never did anything more than this:

(gosh look at that red :wail: )
Or like... full pigtails, half up pigtails, or just plain down. That's iiiiiiiiiiit.
So I have no idea how much length I need for anything fun, because I've never cared enough before.
