Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Mrspuddinhead, it depends if you are looking the front or back. I don't know what you mean by "top of bra". Here we consider BSL hair touching the band of the bra in the back. This is where the band should sit on the body, as you can see, it's quite a distance from APL to BSL (look the armpits on the model). Most women have their bra band too high up from wrong bra fitting. YouTube has some nice bra fitting guides, it should enlighten further.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I have officially hit APL (did the towel-wrap around to be sure). Now on to BSL! No pics, as DH took the camera hunting last weekend and now I don't know where he put it. APL to BSL isn't that far on me...a short torso can be a good thing!

Thank you so much!! I think I have about an inch to two inches before it reaches the bottom of my bra. After that small mile stone, waist.

Thanks so much!! I wish I had a measurement so I could tell you as to where my bra is and where my hair reaches. Thanks again for the tips. :)

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Hello everyone!
Sorry in advance if this post appears twice. I just hit the post button and it all dissappeared!?!?
Can somebody recommend updos/hairstyles for "around APL" hair length?
English is not my first language, so I don't know the names and what to google for.
It would be great if you can give me names and if possible links to tutorials!
As for right now, I gather all my curls and put a srunchie or claw around it.
It looks very messy and definately doesn't deserve to be called a "hairstyle". :(
I guess it also doesn't help that my hair is layered. I tried a french braid, but it all falls apart. I'm so sad. Since I chopped of my hair I can't braid it anymore.

I have layers in my hair too!
Maybe you can use some product to keep the layers in, I usually mist some water and put a little coconut oil before braiding, and I find that braiding quite tightly (not too tight though) helps to keep those layers in.
If not you can try a Gibson tuck! I love Gibson tuck, it looks so sophisticated. Try this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5JZOVnSjjE

CurlyZ, this thread might help you, it has some hairstyles for around SL-APL.
ETA: Plus a french/dutch braid and a lazy wrap bun and cinnabun might work for you too. (I don't think these were mentioned in that thread, since it targets more SL).
