I think I’m going to be here until the end of November or the end of December depending on how much I decide to have trimmed next week, so don’t start missing me yet :)
Congrats on hitting APL! I'm so jealous. ;) Good luck on growing out henna, enjoy your journey along the way, and please don't forget to visit us in here.:blossom:

Thanks Natalina, I’ll be here for a few weeks yet because I’m having a trim next weekend :)

Oh don’t worry about it, it’s nice that you’re excited for me! It gives me an excuse to pop in and say hi and explain what I’m doing next :)

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Me again
I don't know what's going on, but in last few weeks I've become unbelievable impatient. I didn't trim my hair for almost 12 months and now in last few weeks I trimmed my bangs and side strands twice! I corrected my hair shade ( precisely on 1 year no dye annyversary) and today...I've asked my husband to even up my hemline a bit. He trimmed ~1.5cm from the longest parts and the rest is trimmed even less. It looks nicer, thicker ..and I guess that within one month I'll be at APL again, but with fuller hemline. I really didn't like to call APL with those uneven peaking tails.
Now after I've done everything that could be done to enjoy my hair more, I really have to stop checking my hair and looking something to correct, like obsessed.
I actually can't believe that I am obsessing because of hair now when I've came so long. :?

Oiling is making my hair feel such much nicer. I discovered the other day that no-one can really tell if my hair is oiled when it’s curled into a bun and held with claw clips (it’s a bit more obvious with a stick or a fork because the ends splay out sometimes). This means I can leave the oil in all day and wash it out in the evening, leaving my hair feeling soft and silky.
Agava patience is hard to come by isn’t it! I’m feeling less concerned about growth now because I really like this length, and as I said earlier, I’ve decided to maintain while I grow the henna out. I think it’ll do me good to stop focusing on growing longer all the time. Sometimes I wish I had never heard of body markers in relation to hair length :)
Thank you! I always do a sleek middle part low bun but when my hair gets long I will try this hairstyle as well. Usually when I do the sleek bun I make it very slick with hairspray, but when I oil my scalp I get the same effect! Also I discovered applying oil with a pipette, it's sooo convenient cause you don't oversaturate your scalp and you can distribute the oil evenly everywhere.

How much growth did you see & also what did you do about dying it? I have terrible roots right now as wanting to dye it much less frequently than I used to. I haven’t trimmed for 4 months but going at the end of November for colour & a trim.
Lady Stardust I’m glad you’re not leaving us just yet!

Agava I’ve heard that about castor oil. A few people seem to have diluted it with coconut oil so I think I’ll try that to make it less sticky.
Ah we’ll miss you Lady Stardust but glad you’ll be popping back in!
Welcome Miss Marmiladka, your hair looks lovely!
Thank you! Actually I think the universe did not want me to cut my hair today. I went in with my mom who had her appointment first and then towards the end of her appointment my friend (who is the hairdresser) realised that he did not book me in properly, so we rescheduled for next week to avoid any other delays with customers. I was so excited to have a fresh start but I guess I'll have to wait another week ;)

In 2018, my last trim was in November ( chin length) and last lowlighting was in October 2018.
I didn't S&D at all. What bothered me during the summer is that frontal strands became thinner and uneven.
Until now in October I didn't trim anything. And I didn't S&D.
First trim in October: I cut just a bit on the front to have some shape. But soon I also realised that I can't stand products for wavy hair anymore. I stopped using them.
Because of that, my ombre and frizz didn't look nice, so first I've toned my ends a bit darker few days ago and trimmed the frontal parts again because of frizz. My bangs are now at chin length. And I'm now far, far from blunt hemline, but at least almost all frizz is history.
I thought that was a big relief, and enough to leave my hair alone, but today just crossed my mind to even my hemline too. It felt like a brilliant idea, lol
I was at weak APL on Friday, but I really didn't like how it looked. So, after 363 days , I trimmed my hemline, too. And now I'm again chasing APL, gah
I'm a bit sad that I couldn't wait until January when I'd be below APL. But ok, I had to do the trim sooner or later.
