Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
The discussion from a few days ago really made me consider a wolf cut, but I don't know if it's a good idea. For one, the aforementioned cowlicks might make it too messy and annoying when down. Second, I don't think it would suit my face. Lastly I need to put my hair up for work and I don't know if that would be possible with the shorter layers.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Wolf cuts seem to have shorter bangs and you did chop off the mullet part to have even hair right? I'd check your older photos back at that stage because that is basically a wolf cut
Of course hair grows back if you decide to try it out

My growth has currently slowed considerably (I think due to my pregnancy), it'll be interesting to see if it picks up after the baby's born.
I'm trying benign neglect, I don't have a set routine aside from washing and conditioning. I've played around with Mega Tek to rather mixed results. It seems to boost my growth a bit for a few weeks, then the results taper off and I go back to slow growth. I've had a lot of trims this year (3 since January), which has definitely had an effect on my growth rate, but I'm so prone to splits that I kind of have to get 1/4 inch or so trimmed off every 3-4 months.
Good luck to all those in the "shoulder to APL" club!!
Hi! I'm also pregnant right now, is that known to slow down hair growth? I haven't heard that before, but I do know that it can reduce shedding (sorry, I don't know the science behind it). A few months after birth I always get major shedding that sort of puts me back at the thickness I had before pregnancy.
Have you tried the inversion method? I'm doing kind of a modified version of it that just involves scalp massage because I don't love the idea of inverting myself, lol. If I don't get results then I'll probably do it the "proper" way. Anyway, good luck!

In that case I know enough, I hated how that looked on me.

It would be a bit more styled but I'd say it's essentially the same

2.25" is not a particularly small ponytail circumference at all, in my view! In my country, it's not uncommon to see ponytails the thickness of a pencil, and I've seen them at APL or so at least.
Thanks for sharing :)

Yay, I got onto the forum! It takes dedication to make it on here, and if the server is busy I often forget to check back in.
Well, I took my length picture for December and I have now reached 24 inches. None of my towel pics worked out (those pictures are hard to take!) but my hair definitely reaches the towel and when straight comes over it just a bit now. I may try for a better towel picture later. In the past, my hair at 24 inches has been APL dry. I'm still hesitant to call it though.

Looking so good! You can call it now if you want but I'm on the slower side to call it too. It needs to be super obvious and reach a milestone at its fluffiest for me to call one.
