^^Yeah for progress :toast:
I tried the towel test today when my hair was wet and there are a few straggler hairs that are touching the towel now :bluebiggr. In a month or 2 I should be there dry and wavy.

I've gone back to the stylist who gave me this amazing cut and color. So I'm in good hands, all I have to do is take good care of my hair and of the rest of me and hope for great growth.

Wow JessicaAnn, that is some gorgeous hair, it's kinda nice you know what you have to look forward to as you grow. I haven't had natural hair that was long since I was in my teens, so LOL not exactly sure what it will look like longer.

That's amazing .. especially to reach APL while wavy. In order for me to reach APL while curly my hair will probably be BSL lol

JessicaAnn I love the haircut in those pictures....are there really long layers in there? It's beautiful :)

I must have the same problem... ;)
I towel tested and was so disappointed. The angled bob I used to get it past shoulder makes it maybe 1 to 1.5 inches from APL from the front. From the back I'm like 3 inches away! I will eventually have to even that out I suppose, but I've been avoiding it. *Maybe* at APL...
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I wasn't at APL until only recently (23 - 23,5 in), so you are not alone having 'low armpits', gals! In the front I still have ~one inch to go...

Thanks Sterlyn! Since my teens I've had my hair in everything from a chin length bob all the way down to my waist. I think the length in these pictures (BSL with some long layers) has been my favorite. I keep thinking that I miss my waist length hair, but then I look back at old pics and I did so much more with my hair when it was BSL. And really, to most people, they aren't going to notice the difference between BSL and WL. At some point it is just long hair.
I love your haircolor. I think it is just going to become even more stunning as it gets longer. I look forward to seeing what it does.

Yep, there are some layers in there! The gal who did my hair back then is a genius with layers. I stopped going to her when I started growing my hair out to donate because it was way cheaper to just get someone to trim off the ends as I was growing the layers and highlights out. I should have gone back to her when I got the donation chop, she would have done a better job. But I'm going to be going back to her now that I'm growing my hair back out for me and want to keep layers in it(for now anyway, I may grow it out and donate again in a few years). So I'm looking forward to being back to that length at least by the end of the year.

Uhg, I have low armpits AND a long head... I measured today before I washed it and it was like...almost there! I washed it and waited for it to dry and checked again, and low and behold...clean hair is shorter than dirty hair -_-
