Omg, yes I have to agree with everyone to trust in yourself to cut your own hair. Do you use any essential oils?

Wow bunnysaur I bet your bangs look really cute! Are you going to maintain this

I waited until my bangs hit shoulder then chopped everything else off, that's what put me in this thread actually. But the good part of that is I have all my hair one length, no more worries about bangs or layers. I started growing my hair from a pixie cut and maintained bangs for a while on top of that. Sigh. I feel like I've made many mistakes along the way. I wish I found LHC back in 2006.
Thanks so very much Roscata, I can tell you've been here awhile, you can probably get an LHC degree.:cheese: I guess you are right, I could use MBL, but how would I measure myself, would I use a belt or just draw a line on the picture? It just seems kind of uncomfortable for me because that thread shows a lot of people with bras and I'd be the only one without one. LOL And no, I'm not that bold to wear a bra, but I have tried my sister's and I commend all you ladies for wearing something I feel is uncomfortable, maybe because I lack the ability to fill them.

Ahhhh I can relate to you with an undercut, I've had them before and sometimes I feel like they take so long to catch up with the other hairs.:grouphug:

I love this thread and think the idea of a mass exodus is hilarious.
LOL wouldn't it be great if we all grew the same length after a year, that way we all can move to each thread like school. Alas le sigh, only in my dreams.:cloud9:

Kimi is soooo wonderful! Make sure you send her measurements of your hands (from wrist to the tips of your fingers). Also it would help her if you send different pictures of your hair so she can have a better idea of what to recommend to you! I hope this helps sweety! And I can't wait to see some preview and action pics!!! :cheese:

Still got a couple of inches to go, so I expect to hit APL sometime this summer. Had a trim in February that blended the layers I'm growing out, and I'm hoping to go until 2013 before I have a trim beyond occasional S&D (I don't get a lot of splits, so S&D for me just consists of grabbing the scissors and removing a split whenever I notice one near my face). Ideally, I'd like to wait on my next trim until my hair is long enough that I'd be comfortable moving to a non-layered cut with a U-shaped hemline. That probably won't be until waist, though.
Hello! Nice to meet someone who is also a iii, now I have someone who I can vent when trying out hairstyles that don't work for our thickness. It seems like custom made or big toys work for my hair. Ughhhh I can sympathize with you on layers, it seems like it will never end for me because of natural sheddings, and new growth everywhere. It's really bad for me since my hair is so coarse that I get bad frizzies. The U-line hemline will definitely look sexy on you, as opposed to me since I'm a guy i'm probably going to stick to a blunt hemline across! Yay I hope to get to know you more!;)

Yay! I'm glad you've decided to stay in this thread! I especially am glad that you are a fellow curly! Yay This group I have to admit is a loud one compared to other threads that I've been spying on!http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../sillybear.gif

Awww thanks lunamummy, no seriously, I think it's because you all spread so much love and passion towards hair, I'm just merely circulating the mood of this group! http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...r/cutebear.gif

The flexi8 is one of my favorite hairtoys, i'm really thinking about getting some other colors/ styles (they have free shipping right now i believe :D)
Omg it's soooo pretty! Mega you've really impressed me with your style and creativity! I love them all!http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...raigr/hklv.gif OK i'm sold on getting a flexi 8. It's such a pleasure to see you again, since I know you've been really busy! Btw, I'm still trying to figure out the lazy wrap! I keep watching youtube vids on it! I'll just keep practicing, maybe towards the end of the month I'll be able to make a solid one like yours!

Omg piratejenny it's soo elegant and pretty! I love it!http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...raigr/hkfl.gif The gems really accentuate the color of your hair! I envy you all for being able to wear sparklies so well!

Thank yooou! I'm sitting here with a cinnabun for the first time in my life, using a hair stick for the first time in my life. I have post-pixie layers like whoa, so any non-clamped or pinned updo generally falls apart, but this one has lasted surely three minutes by now. :p My hair may as well be chin length for all I can actually do with it.
I keep half an eye on this thread; I'm just not the social type.

Hey, piratejenny, just click on the number displayed on the upper right of the post you want to bookmark. That will take you to a page displaying that post and that post only, which you can bookmark.
(P.S. Nice hairtoy!)

Eh, they look alright. They mostly stay tucked behind my ears, and only show up when I'm trying to make a bun or ponytail. I think I'm definitely going to have some bangs cut in when I get somewhere between APL and BSL. I hate the look of having all my hair pulled back away from my face, I have a strong facial bone structure and it just looks ridiculous if I don't have any hair framing my face to balance it out.
I'll be sure to send her those! I probably won't get it for at least a couple weeks, but I'm so excited already! I'll take lots of action shots, don't worry :cheese:
Here's my hairstyle for the day. I have absolutely no idea WTF happened over there on the left, and I'll probably try to re-do this at some point. But anywho, have something like a cinnabun:

I agree with you that "you have a strong facial bone structure," you probably have an easy time putting blush on to accentuate your features.http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2.../vanityaq8.gif We are opposites, I have less defined structures so I have to have all my hairs pulled back to show my facial features! ooooh I bet it would be fun to shop at Sephora with you!http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...eartbowjz2.gif
Girl, as for your bun, it could use a little loving, but it looks like you put some essential oils because your hair looks shiny and bright. I never knew your hair is getting lighter, maybe it must be the lighting. It must be a bright day over there. Have you tried using coconut oil? If so, try putting a lot more only on the hairs that you will form into the bun. I find it really helpful to do that because it helps the hairs stick and flow, it's a lot trickier to deal with layers sticking out (that involves maneuvering hairs and sticking it in the bun, also I find using the end of a rat tail comb to stick any loose hairs into the bun really helpful). As always, keep practicing! I'm still practicing a lot and I've learned a lot so far with what you all shared so far, it's nice to have a toy day cause it gives me ideas. http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...iend/g4441.gifI kinda like the look you have on now, it's a very punk look to me, I dig it!

MegaMystery I forgot to ask you, are you sure you are not a iii instead of a ii in thickness? It looks to me you are a iii since we have very similar hair textures, and all your buns look all thick, especially when I look at each of your individual hairs.

My bathroom at home has super weird lighting, so that's probably why my hair looks like that.
If I wear blush, I have to do it absolutely perfectly, and only use a teensy bit, otherwise I end up looking like one of those super strict English school headmistresses you see in movies :p
I'm going to oil it better and try again later. I think I like the look of having a few ends popping out, but if I could get them all in there that would be awesome too. Silly hair!

While you are waiting or deciding on a grahtoestudio fork, check out the LHC thread: Grahtoestudios fork! You can browse this thread to check out various styles. Plus I learned a lot from that thread when I was deciding on a custom fork. :D

rowie, you know what, you are a very evil enabler!! I swore to myself I would not spend any more money on new hair toys for at least three months or so. After following this thread over the past few days I wavering.... Nooooo.....
