Shoulder | Armpit

Hello to all of our newcomers! This is the no-man's land between SL and APL. I've been here since May. *sigh*
And my LAYERS ARE STILL DRIVING ME INSAAAAANE.

I know from what you are talking... layers can be so annoying! I had layers in 2003 when I started growing. And it took me ages to get rid of the biggest ones. the shortest hair was about 4inches long and the longest hair was about shoulder length. With the curls it took me 3 years to get a nice border.

You will not need that long. :) :) :)

I haven't posted in this thread even though I hit shoulder length 5 or 6 months ago. Mainly because my hair has so much shrinkage that even if the length were BSL, it still would only to appear neck length. My hair goal of MBL is on straightened hair though, so I think I'll join.

I just had my hair put in the ultimate 'up' hairstyle, a weave. I won't be able to see the vast majority of my hair for 10 weeks. I'm going to use this hiding method every 3 months with a 2 week break between re-installs for 2012 to hide my hair. My hair isn't long enough for buns yet and it's very fragile so I need something that will let it be for awhile. If I can make it to APL that will be the longest my hair has ever been.

Finally, I`ve had a haircut yesterday and removed several inches of tapering/layers from my hair. It was a little longer than BSL, now it is a couple of inches past SL. But the hemline is BLUNT now, and I`m looking forward to grow my hair from this state.

I think I`ve made the right move. From now on; I will stay off harming styling products and scissor-happy hairdressers.

I haven't posted a progress pic in a long time, so here is my January 2012 length shot. It's not the greatest because my camera was on the bed where I was sitting so not at eye level.

I could swear my hair isn't growing at all...

You look like me. I.e. shoulder to APL is by far the longest abyss that you will have. Im 5" below shoulder length and still have 2.5" to go till APL. FWIW your hemline looks nice and even and thick. :) You will get there!

I believe I may be closer than I thought! I took another shot today, propped my computer up a bit because last time it was sitting much lower than me.

And it looks like I'm almost there! I think I will be here until March though, to be well into APL.

My hair looks weird because I washed and oiled (kind of heavily with almond oil) 3 days ago, then kept my hair up the whole time in a cinnabun then in a French braid. Also, it looks like those bleached ends are gonna have to get chopped soon. But I'm in the no-trims challenge. What to do, what to do???

I don't know Liss, I think APL to BSL is quite long for me too, but at least after APL, it'll be long (by society's standards anyway).

Also, I'm hoping my hair will "settle" a bit more when it's longer. Right now my ends are always so poofy, especially since I got a blunt cut and got rid of most of my layers.

I'm getting so close to APL I can almost taste it! I'm aiming for March since it looks like about an inch left. :D
