Hi I am Jules from Glasgow and 8 am new to LHC and this thread. My hair is 20" and not very far away from APL. On me I think that will be about 22" but no idea how long that will take! I am trying all the tips I have found on here when lurking lol: coconut oil deep treatments, oil washes, I take Silica plus, and NO heat lol! On the down side I do NOT embrace my grey so use regular colour, about every 6-8 weeks and doubt I will give that up! :shrug: Anyway we will see! Love these boards so thank you all for the education!

I am just about the same length as you Princess, 1/4 inch shorter at the moment. With damage removed, your hair will seem to grow much faster though it's an illusion. In reality, your hair grew faster than you thought all along, but damaged hair breaks more easily. and often at the ends making the breakage go completely unnoticed. It just seems like your hair is growing slowly. Five inches will come much faster than you expect, especially with the Summer months upon us. Hair tends to grow faster then. You and I both may well be at APL by the end of the year. YAY!!!

Thanks EtherealOde. Actually, being in Australia it's winter. I'm hoping my hair wants to be opposite though and grow really fast during the colder months :) Good luck to us both, I'm glad there's someone with the same length that I can join this journey with.

I have, unfortunately, been shoulder length for a very long time and after having 3 inches of damage cut off am ready to say bye bye to that length.
My current measure in is 17 inches and I should be at APL by 22 inches - 5 inches to go :) (doesn't really seem that much)
Welcome! We have similiar measurements! I also have 5inches to go until APL which I think will definately be achievable by the end of the year :)

I know! I haven't blowfried since April and I'm SO tempted to go for it. I know I've got at least 2 weddings in July and I certainly don't plan and going with this mess of hair. I might blowdry or at least use some extra large velcro rollers. They smooth my hair out into loose waves.
Very anti-LHC, I know, but I want to be pretty for the weddings :o

It's okay....I've been known to blow fry more than my fair share. I let it dry to the point that it's almost entirely air dried and then give it a go. I'm a sinner, what can I say! My hair is healthy, though, I s&d as needed and don't have any serious damage (I only blow dry the roots, never the ends unless it's a special occasion like a wedding!).
