Thanks! I'm a little defeated about my volume. I seem to have plenty from the ears up but my ends get progressively more sparse. I thought this time around I would prove my "I can't grow my hair long" wrong with expensive Viviscal... Tinsel - I like it! I did henna a few months ago but it was a very mild color.

Thank you so much!!! Honestly I struggle a lot with braiding my hair because it is also a tangly mess, so I feel ya there!!! It takes me so many attempts to get it right and I always get super frustrated :mad:

Thank you so much!!! And nope, besides my normal wash routine I don't put any extra product in my hair most of the time. In the right lighting my hair is just very shiny, that's one of it's good features haha :o

Hi friends! I was feeling pretty good about my progress a month or two ago but lately I've gotten really discouraged. My ends are crunchy and splitting, despite that I've completely given up heat. I spend weekends elsewhere so was blaming my pillow case there not being satin. But then I stumbled upon the Curly Girl Method and it occurred to me the shampoo I have there is bad. So since October's big chop, I've been mostly home using this CG-approved shampoo by accident. A month of the other house and I'm fried. I'll do a few S&D clips when I can but will avoid a real trim for as long as I can.

Side bar: I'm solidly a 3B-3C if I actually let my hair be itself. Who knew? lol

Wow, is that really so!? I find myself thinking that all the time about other people's braids, about one of their two braids being thicker than my one braid, it's weird to have someone say the same to me! Quite flattering though, ahaha.
Your hair is so voluminous though, I'd never suspect that! And I am absolutely in love with your ringlets. The little silver flecks are amazing. You have fantastic hair, I look forward to seeing more of your progress!!!

Thank you so much!!! I try my best. The braid waves help a ton with my hair self-esteem... I'm still very much not over my hair turning straight.

In other news, getting so close to APL I can taste it! At some angles it actually seems like I'm there stretched and wet.
About ~2 more inches until I'm there solidly dry from the back though, which is when I'll call it. I should definitely be getting there by New Years, probably more like November!!

This is why hair drives me nuts. My front hairs are solidly APL if I pull them down even dry. The back of my hair is a hint past shoulder, but only if the curls/waves are flattened. But my whole head feels more like chin. Your hemline is what's so amazing! You're definite getting there.

Thanks for the complements! I'm eager to see my own progress as well but I still fear that I'll never get to APL with anything other than a few scraggly fairy tale ends. My taper is so bad.

Oxalis, your hair is so pretty and getting so long! You look close to APL and congrats on your pregnancy! :flower:

Inthecity wow! Your natural texture is so curly! Are you doing more to try to bring out the curl? It's so pretty! I have a bad taper too but NOT volume at the roots. I love the volume you have!
