Shoulder | Armpit

I just checked, and stretched, it's solid APL, with several layers past it! So... I guess it will be a few more months here. :D

Do you call it when all your layers have reached APL or when the longest strands in their curly state have reached it?

Exciting, congratulations!

Thank you both! :o It feels like it sneakily grew when I wasn't looking. It's the longest I had my hair in many many years, it feels strange (but in a good way!).

I'm currently undecided on this, but I will probably wait until the second scenario! In this case, the layers is the entire ex-nape undercut that's playing catch up, so I might just keep on tracking two lengths until I do a trim of the top, but visually, the top length matters more.

Makes sense :) For most people that would be APL visually anway. I don't know how long your undercut currently is, but I can imagine it will take a little while to catch up. My bangs are still growing out, and that seems to be a never ending process...

I think this may be my first post. I have finally reached shoulder length from a rather short pixie last September. I can finally successfully clip back the front of my hair out of my face. My next goal is to be long enough to get all of my hair into a ponytail. I am really looking forward to APL.

That's amazing! Being able to gather it all in the simplest updo definitely feels like a major milestone, so fingers crossed you get there soon!

Great milestone being able to clip the front of your hair back! Congrats and welcome.

I'm about 2" past collar bone right now. APL is 24" on me, BSL is 27 ish. I think I'll be at APL by Christmas.
