Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
So cool to hear your 'hair stories'!
My hair was around 3 cm from APL until a week ago, where I went to the hairdresser and got a trim. Now it's probably around 7 cm from there.
I have always thought that my hair grows very slowly, but I've never actually measured it regularly. I'm beginning to think that maybe it doesn't grow THAT slow (though still in the slow end hehe), but the ends are just breaking and then I hate it and cut it off haha. Let's see :D

Also, wow classic sounds amazing! Here I am, not even sure if I can reach APL with a healthy looking hemline haha
(Haven't figured out how to edit yet  )

I was just lurking I don't actually belong here yet, but the reason you can't edit yet is because you don't have enough posts. Don't worry! You will be able to after 25 "quality" posts.
Check out this thread for more info on that: https://forums.longhaircommunity.com...ad.php?t=68520

Wow, that's impressive :) Which length did you like the best? And why did you chop it?

You can do it! I know.. Hair doesn't grow super fast anyways. I feel like I've been at this length forever, but looking back at pictures from some months ago, I can see that it has grown! I've just never measured hair growth, so I have no idea about how fast it grows! Finding out now :)
However, I do have a demarcation line of bleach, so I've tried to measure that and divide by months since bleaching. That gives me the growth rate of 1,2 cm/month. Not too bad..
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I also want to find out what my actual growth rate is. I think I'll start taking pictures regularly to follow the growth. How often do you guys document/take pictures? I'm thinking once per month?
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I measure with a measuring tape and take photos. I think monthly or every 3 months is good?

I think the longest my hair has ever been is about hip length, but that was over 20 years ago, so I’m not certain exactly where my length was but it was in that area, maybe longer. Most of my life my hair has been growing from pixie to apl, then cut back to pixie and repeating the process over and over again, mostly because I did not know how to wear my hair up in any way other than a ponytail and my scalp gets sore from ponytails.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
My hair has been waist length (almost hip), it usually gets to BSL without problem and from there on it gets more and more damaged, and I'd cut it. I only got it to waist once and that was when I was super careful and babied my hair! That was like five years ago.
I document by taking pictures, like every other month. I have a striped t-shirt I use so it's easy to compare each photo. Haven't measured since I think I'd just measure wrong
