I think I'm going to count it as a CBL when my longest layer reaches the bottom line of the photo I've poster. That is exactly the middle between SL and APL for me. So, let's say 4 months.
I've got to have some structure and a vision in next period :D
I think that's a good idea! Sometimes I'm tempted not to bother calling shoulder and just wait till CBL it's not really that much of a wait but I know what I'm like lol. time will tell
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Yeah, better to have some semi-goals in between and call them when they happen, otherwise waiting for APL next 7-8 months will seem as an eternity.

Very true! It's a struggle waiting to call shoulder and it was June? I think when I called chin length which wasn't that long ago
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I don't call SL and CBL two different milestones as for me they are the same. But I do call NL as a milestone and I see a lot of people call SL where I call NL.
Regarding APL I think I'm almost there :D I'll measure my hair in a couple of days as it's my hair "anniversary" since my buzzcut. I'd be great if I'm at APL two years post buzzcut

I think Shoulder and CBL is like an inch
Or so difference on me, not much, but I'll feel better calling each one so it feels like a progress
Fingers crossed you made APL!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I have never completely understood the difference between shoulder and collar-bone length. :hmm:
My hair is officially shoulder length, or at least I think it is. I do know that if I stretch my longest front layer, it passes my collarbone by a small bit. Does this mean I am past shoulder? Is collar-bone past shoulder when it comes to hair growth? So many questions, lol! One would think that after all my years here, I would have figured this out. :p

Hmm, from CL to SL is only 3 months.
From what I remember during growing from SL, my last month or two before reaching APL were the worst period.

Past shoulder for sure, shoulder is when it sits on top of that part were end of neck slopes into shoulders, and yes cbl is after shoulder C:

Before I came to this forum, I thought that SL was much longer (at least the length on the same level with the top of shoulder bone). For what is here called SL, I would also, as CuteCraw call it NL. But this is also fine how the majority is doing. Here or there, it's the same path we have to pass before reaching APL.
Luluj, I think that SL has at least two subcategories. Short and long. CBL could be the mid stage, if reffered to the point below the neck, where collarbones connect each other. I'm just wondering where on the back could be that point. Is it in the middle between SL and APL or a bit higher. If I look from a front, my CBL is close to APL even if it feels like it should be closer to SL.
