Yeah! Hurray for new growth!

Yay! I was able to do english braid for a night. I have been experimenting with up dos for a night lately (again. Last time there was no success). French braid wasn't working too well and made my scalp feel funny in the morning but english braid is perfect. It's too short and weird to wear for a day though. Or in public. Luckily hair grows. I love braids.

French braids take some getting accustomed to. I still can't handle headband french braids they just feel weird, and if I leave it for the day then my head actually feels bruised.

Yay for getting your braid on though!

I am always worried if something makes scalp feel sore. I haven't noticed any extra shedding after wearing top knots or french braids though.

I will have my 2 years anniversary of hair growth in this month. I feel a bit bummed because it's only shoulder length. I know I have been chopping it a lot especially from the back but still... :p I have to remember this if I want to chop it again after it has grown longer. The hair I now have feels quite valuable after all this time. :lol: I never worry about the thickness or such anymore. I am just happy I have what I have and it's now pretty even because of all the chopping.

Half an inch this month, hurrah! I'm now back to 21.5" even after a microtrim. It was starting to feel like I'd be stuck at 21" forever, between poor growth and the need to trim, so I'm really pleased. I'm now very close to the longest hair I've ever had :D

Soaking wet, my hair is a month of growth from APL.
Too bad it shrinks 10 cm (4 inches) when dry... :(

MaryMarx, that is exactly why I don't measure or pay any attention to my hair length when its wet! But you know, I am growing more and more appreciative of the curls I have hated all my life. I'm even learning to live with the inevitable frizz. :D I'd guess that I'm about 5 inches from APL (dry) and I micro-trim every 2-3 months, so I won't be leaving this thread anytime soon.

Shrinkage is a beast! I go with stretched since my focus is updos. I wear my hair down once in a blue moon if that.

Neecola: I knew it was a bad idea, but I couldn't stop myself. :D And I know once it's longer, I'll appreciate them too. :)
