Thank you, and that's fun! it's always nice to have people around that are at the same stage of growing. The ones with a lot longer hair can sure inspire, but I find it more encouraging to have other people that are "my length" around :o
From what i can see in your signature picture, your hair is really pretty!
Welcome! :) your hair will probably get going soon enough!
New length shot with one from 5-ish weeks ago for comparison.

I'm feeling really good about this one! I know my inconsistencies in photo taking, clothing and editing make it hard to tell but I feel like a can really see good growth this month?
Also, I'm not sure if I can call APL or not? I might wait another month, just to be sure??
No advice? ;A; I'd really like to keep as much length as I can, but I'm also impatient to even out the underside of my hair since it causes some weirdness.
Also, I feel like I may actually be at CBL and not shoulder! I need to take a picture after I wash it later. I think it'll be more accurate clean than dirty. I haven't grown any, I just think I didn't really classify properly XD
I understand you. I would like to even my hair out as soon as possible too, but I've trimmed hair at shoulder and collarbone length before and it's not easy, it gets easier the longer it is. I would probably wait some more if I were you, that's what I am doing. I will probably start microtrimming once I reach apl, or maybe a few cm past that.
I think if the layers were on top it'd be easier for me to wait. Since they're underneath and cause a weird poofing when clean, it really bothers me! But I was cutting more than a little trim every time (last month I think it was at least 2") because it's easier than to cut a little bit all around. As it is just waiting for that takes most of my patience lol
I've been trying to find ways to put it up that will help keep it out-of-sight-out-of-mind, and if I weren't super lazy I'd do rag curls after every shower because that really camouflages the underneath lengths.
It's not as bad as it was, at least. This picture was taken a couple weeks before my last cut, and the lengths that are the second shortest now were right about the same length as the curl shrinkage. I just barely curled the bottoms of them to make it all appear the same length. I did the same with the shortest bits that were at my mouth maybe?

But it takes me a couple of hours to put up, since I take breaks when my arms get tired. I don't always want to spend that much time XD
Thank you! I've always loved how I looked with curls, to the point of getting a perm when I was about 10! But back then no one I knew really knew what to do with the curls, so they tangled really badly at my nape! I know how to now, but I want a perm way less XD Even though I'd probably love it, I wouldn't love the damage at all!
Yeah regardless of which way I end up going (continuing my bigger chops, or starting to trim small amounts regularly) I'll be waiting at least another month. I just bought a hair fork off of wish (i really couldn't pass up on the $2 fork!) so I'll wait until it's here and I've used it a bit before I really commit to either cutting path. Even though I'm impatient XD
