Okay so I did the 'towel test' and took a photo of my hair when it was 70% dry earlier...

This is a photo of it last month, completely dry.

I know I did a cut last week but it still just doesn't seem to be growing :cries:
Anyway, what length would you say it is?
Idreamlong you'll need to decide whether you measure your milestones curly or stretched, and stick to it. Many curlies choose the latter, because it gives more consistent results, and it would give you joy to reaching each milestone twice: the more milestones, the merrier the journey!
Stretched you seem to be actually past APL because your towel seems to be sitting low. You seem to be approaching the bottom of shoulder blade length, which some members interpret to be equal to BSL (and maybe it is on some bodies, but not mine).
Unstretched your longest layer is somewhere between collarbone and APL; I'd say from this angle it looks nearer to APL. Note that since you hold camera high up, the angle can distort the visual proportions, and hair often seems longer that way, so my estimations might be wrong.
Even if the camera angle would distort the visuals a bit, I think you are very well on the way! I don't think anyone at the APL to BSL thread would complain if you'd move on there now, and show them the towel photo. :flower:
But boy you have lot of shrinkage for your wurliness level!
Just did a towel test with my combed 50‰ dry hair. I'm amazed it's only half an inch from the towel! Feel really encouraged. Maybe end March I just might be there. Nowhere near when dry though due to wurls.
That's great news, SaraJayne!
Here is my official graduation photo, this is after a 1 cm-ish trim. I'm not sure if I grow on or maintain, maybe some kind of slow inbetween hybrid. It's barely visible, but I have a measuring tape indicating APL around my torso, and my hair is over it.

I'm currently at collarbone length and hope to be at APL by september 2016 on my journey to waist
Oh I forgot to say, I've been working in the London office a lot lately, which is not my main office. Last week I had suppliers in who I haven't seen since last summer and one of them said upon seeing me 'what a change, I didn't recognise you with the curls. A good change though!' I was shocked. When a man notices you changed your hair you know you really do look different! :D Then on Tuesday, a female college who I only see every couple of weeks said 'isn't your hair getting long?' It's really nice that someone noticed. Makes all the care I'm taking and all the effort I'm putting into trying to love and make the best of my air dried hair type seem more worthwhile.
Congrats on the compliment from your colleagues!
And thank you for the compliment about my hair! Yes it's very healthy now, probably in best condition it's ever been. Grown with LHC wisdom from root to tip! :D (Although I have to say I am not really belonging in the "treat your hair like old lace" camp, as I don't try to grow very long lengths.)
Let's hope you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see your straight length!
