You're very welcome :) .. it's a mini milestone before you reach it in the back .. for me APL in the front 2" .. towel test 3"... so it's a lot more encouraging

Thanks! I was kind of wondering about my hemline. I'm glad it looks even! I just recently got to shoulder. I'm so very glad to be here. I had a buzz cut around march or april of 2012. I've been trimming so I don't mullet. It felt like it took FOREVER! I cut it when hormonal and pregnant and super nauseated. This time I'm hormonal, pregnant and super nauseated. But I'm not going to take it out on my hair.
Huh, I guess I didn't get the quote thingy to work.
Hey, HazelBug! I also got a really short cut in the same season of the same year (March 2012). :D The only difference is that I never trimmed off the under layers... Looking at my shortest layers I also would've had shoulder length hair now, had I cut away the 'mullety' bits.
Also, a big congrats to your pregnancy. :flowers: Best wishes to you and your little one.
Thank you! It's nice not feeling like the only one growing out a crazy short haircut! I told myself that I wouldn't trim the back. But I couldn't take the mulleting. I like my hair all one lenth anyway. I know that mullet looking just becomes layers as it grows. I just didn't have the gumption to stick it out?
Can we talk about the curse of thick, not quite long yet, hair? Hair this thick needs to be either beyond APL (preferably closer to BSL) or super short. I've felt like the last few weeks it's grown quite a bit, but out instead of down. Like, I can feel it getting thicker, and the waves/curls around my face and crown have even started coming back, but it doesn't seem like it's adding any length. I don't want to get it thinned at all at this length, though that sometimes becomes a necessary evil at the longer lengths. But I just wish it would lay down a little better. I'm thinking of going and having the ends of the layers cleaned up and blended next week. That might help a little bit. Is anyone else fighting with hair that's acting like this?
My hair isn't thick but it has a curl/ wave to it at this length so it curls up at the bottom and is not even close to flattering ... at this length (3" until APL) .. I am just bunning it or braiding it. it's out of the way, I can't see and by the time I take the time to notice it should be at about BSL. Just put it up and pretend it's not even there.
Mine was a iii before my postpartum shed. I remember getting the whole triangle shape around my head. I did a lit of little baby pigtails untill the akward phase was over. That's what I did when I was about 19 and I had cut my hair to right under my ears. The growing stage was so frustrating. But when I could pull it all out of the way and sort of forget about it, it got easier.
And I quoted the wrong person! I feel like such a noob!
JessicaAnn, my hair isn't superthick, I've got layers and a rather deep U-cut that's probably preventing the triangle-shape.. It's not long enough to weigh itself down though, so if I've worn a ponytail it stays very flippy in the back and I can't wear it down! And I still can't do even a cinnabun that holds. Probably both because of thickness and lack of skill, haha. I'm so looking forward to be able to cinnabun it with only hair sticks.
