Shoulder | Armpit

Really liking my hair recently! I discovered that my layers actually stay in french braids now and I can get some nice waves and they add some really nice volume to my thin hair! It makes it look shorter though...

I measure dry and unstretched. I've also got about 4 inches to go.

I selftrimmed bit just before New Year's. Nothing drastic, it looks about the same but a bit more uneven I guess. I trimmed 1-1,5 cm. My ends are still a bit tangle-prone, but it might be some honey-residue or something. I think I'll go full CO-washing for a while, it helped me so much with tangles before! I'm currently soaked in coconut oil and I'll treat my hair to a good old SMT tonight.

By the way, an SMT or a SMT? :) My life is one long English course!

An SMT would be the correct grammatical usage. :)

Last night my hair passed the towel test wet and pulled straight. I'm going to hold off calling it until it passes dry and straight, though. I'm sure APL to BSL is going to feel like it takes an eternity so there's no sense in rushing it. But it won't be long now!

I measured again last night, and my very longest ends are 2 inches away from the towel. My hair has grown 6" in the last 4 months, so I'm hoping for APL by May.

That's some excellent growth! I thought that I was doing well with 6" in 8 months. Have you seen an increase in thickness as well? I've increased by 0.5" since I've been able to measure. I only ask because we have similar hair types.

Oops! I got it backwards. It's actually been 4" in 6 months, so about 3/4" per month. *sheepish* I haven't been measuring for thickness, but it seems pretty constant.
