I cut to 17" on Nov 25th
I measured yesterday and am at about 17 & 9/10ths"
I'm calling it 18"
I'd like to thank the hair gods for a growth spurt! (I average 3/4" per month normally)
I have no delusions of keeping up "an inch a month" growth rate but man, that would be cool! lol I'd hit APL before I know it (about 23" on me)
I'm hoping for APL by Thanksgiving 2014 (one year of growing from shoulder)
This is me!!! At least for a little while, I'd say I was 2 inches of APL but my hair grows less than 1/2 an inch a month and has lots of layers as I haven't really cut my hair since I started growing out my pixie cut.
Unlike most people on here I didn't mind shoulder length but a hate where i am now. My longest hairs are almost at APL but my shortest are just brushing shoulder and fall out of all my attempted updos so I'm stick with a ponies tail the whole time.
Haha I feel you. When I try to do a cinnamon bun, it looks like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket. All my layers stick out!!Quote:

I made my first attempt at self trimming this morning! I have layered hair and I want to keep the layers. The hemline is u-shaped, a few centimeters from APL.
I parted my hair in two down the middle and then parted each side in three sections horizontally, from front to back. Then I split each section in three and trimmed those one at a time about 1-1,5 cm. The hardest part was to comb the sections in the right direction in order to get the ends in a straight line.
I didn't do it perfectly, obviosly, but because of waves and layers I'm not very concerned about unevenness (though it might make it harder to trim next time I guess). It doesn't look very different from before the trim so that's good :) Just a litte shorter.
I'm not going to trim again until I need to - when my comb starts getting stuck in my ends.
For 2014, I hope to reach nipple length! Haha that's my only realistic body marker after APL and I will be there in about 10 cm so it's hopefully possible even with occasional trims. :)

i took photos today in prep for the photo every month for 2014 its about an inch of apl i would say.
My hair is growing really nicely this year though so happy about that, nice and thick and just looks good.

I just measured and my hair is now 21.5'', time to change my siggy!
This puts me an inch and a half away from APL, so I should hit APL in April
[although this fact was already established], unless I get another nice growth spurt!
[Or a stall, but let's not dwell on the negatives.]

Did the towel test last night for the fist time. I'm about 2 inches away from my goal. Come on, grow grow grow!
I just tried the towel test as well and yep when wet i am about a good inch off APL, hoping i have a spurt this next month as well, gonna wear hair up for bed, wear it up during the day and take vitamins, see in doing all this for one month really can make the difference
