Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I am an inch past in front and two to three off in back. I feel like I can call APL fully when it hits my back line so right now I am kind of sort of there but not really if that makes sense to anyone but me... I started with an A line bob a year and a half ago and have only trimmed a half inch since. I also S&D about once a month.

Yay for getting your braid on though!
I still run into head pain, sometimes too! When I grew enough hair to pin up, it hurt my head after 10 minutes and I thought something was wrong with me! I since learned that's common for long-time shorties. Our hair gets used to laying a certain way, and the follicles protest when you move your hair around. I just kept after it. First, I'd put it up for 10 minutes, and kept adding time until I could wear it up for several hours. Sometimes new styles still bother, but I just put it up and try to get used to it. Sometimes I can, and sometimes I can't. I sleep with it in a top-pony. It looks crazy, but is easiest for me to tolerate. I'd love to get used to sleep braids. Braid waves are so pretty!

I checked earlier, and I'm just about there. Optimistically, another month. Realistically, 2 more months. I hope.

Grow grow grow!!! I have hit the stage that even letting my hair stay down long enough to dry is annoying. Is that weird? I just dislike having it loose and in my face all the time.

I like having my hair down but I notice I do tend to put it up in the evenings. I definitely put it up if it is windy or rainy out or else it's frizz city!

No not weird at all :) My hair is now an inch or so past collar bone and I'm starting to realize that it is getting long. I hate having it in my face the whole time too, or when I want to pick something up, there's hair in my face. Or when I put a bag on my shoulder, there's hair underneath it! Just a few of those small things that make me think 'mmm this is not practical' haha. However, my job requires me to put my hair up so when I have a day off I mostly wear it down anyway. But like yesterday I had it down all day and when I came home I was go glad I could put it up!! When I had my hair this long, I always wore a hair elastic on my wrist.. I might just do that again :P
& I was looking at pictures from 6 years ago (when my hair was the longest it was since I've been a child!) and it's now officially as long. In just a few months my hair will be the longest it has been since I was 12 :D A mini milestone I think :)

Your hair is looking fabulous oktobergoud, so thick and shiny and the colour is stunning!!! :agape:
I am not sure if I belong in this thread yet. At the back my hair is almost certainly shoulder length but the sides are not quite there yet and sitting a fraction below my chin so I feel I can only put one foot in this thread for the time being.

Woah thanks! :flower: My hair isn't super thick though, it's mostly fluffy! :) So it looks thick but it really isn't, it's just ii thickness haha. But thanks! :) Colour & shine is due to henna :)
For what it's worth, I think you belong here! Your hair definitely looks like shoulder length to me :)

Ooh I have come back to LHC after probably a year away and I realise this is the place for me! My hair is just stretching to APL now, but a good way off BSL still so shall keep on happily growing! I'd better update my profile and take a progress pic!
