Lianna - how do you apply your castor oil?
I just started with rooibos tea sprays. I don't know about growth because I've only been doing it a couple of days - but WOW it makes my hair soft anyway! :)
Good growth everyone - I know we feel stuck, but there are so many of you so close to APL!! (I'm definitely not one of them though!)
I was using princessp's castor oil spray recipe as well, but not doing at the moment as doing rooibos tea sprays:D
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I'm at shoulder and hope to be at APL in a year. :)

Did anyone else start at chin or shorter? How long did it take you to get where you are now?!
I started with a buzz cut (1/4 inch). My last one was April of 2010, so it's been a year and 3 months. Right now, my longest layer is about an inch or two from APL, and my shortest layer is shoulder-length. However, it all curls up when it's dry, so it's not obvious that it is that long yet. In another few months, that should calm down some so that my length is more apparent. :D

That's the picture I took at the beginning of June. I'm only taking one picture of the length every two months, so it's the most recent picture. :)

Oooh, that sounds like a yummy formula! But the one concern I've had with using castor oil is that I CO, and I'm afraid that conditioner wouldn't be enough to remove a really viscous oil like that - anyone have any thoughts on that?

OMG?! A buzz cut to that long in 1 year and 3 months?! That's amazing. Your hair must grow twice as fast as mine!
You are a very lucky lady! ;)

It's actually in the section with the laxatives. Make sure it says castor oil, though, and not just mineral oil, they have both.

Thanks!
Figuring out my growth rate, I average out to about 0.6 of an inch a month, so not that far off from the average rate. :)

Ok, so I'm back and need your opinions. Am I at APL yet, lol. I know, I know... My hair is tied in a ponytail. However, I tried taking a photo with my hair down but my hair is so lightly coloured that it's difficult to see where the ends are.
So? Did I graduate? :eyebrows:

Woop woop go Gwen you did it!
Yesterday I had my bf check my length, and he said I was about half an inch past APL... But I don't want to graduate from this thread! You're all so nice! Can I stay here until my layers are at APL? Or my fringe? (that would probably take 2 years!:D:D:D:D)
