I have bangs and layers, too, but I'm going to keep my bangs while growing.
I love bangs with long hair! It will look great on you! I'm just ready for that new new XD
My long hair was all one solid length, and I had baby (micro) bangs

Here is my first 2-month update:
Before:
https://forums.longhaircommunity.com...0&d=1624050906
After:
https://forums.longhaircommunity.com...1&d=1629057440
In the "after" picture, it was freshly washed, lightly diffused with warm air, and oiled. In the "before" picture, it was washed with no conditioner, no blow drying, and no oil. The longest/bottom layer looks weird and stringy! I've been so careful with it in the past 2 months, but it looks like I have a lot of breakage in the longest layer. When I lift up the upper layers, though, the bottom layer looks fine. It has always had much less curl than the front, even when all layers were the same length and long.
From now on, I'll take pictures in my "measuring dress":

Nice growth! :) I don't see any breakage personally. Maybe your hair needs less oil or a different type of oil to make your hair appear more weightless and less stringy? I know my fine hair gets weighed down pretty easily by products.

I haven’t updated my stats yet, but here’s my new hair:

I cut off all my heat damaged and processed hair to start fresh. It’s so healthy, shiny and bouncy again! Like it regained life. No regrets and I’m finally excited again to grow it out!
