Ahh, I'm sorry!! Bat is right, it IS really confusing!
That's a very helpful picture CuteCrow! I think I would call those NL and SL as well. In my case, since I have a long neck and an almost 90 degree angle between my neck and shoulder, the two are almost the same, so I never quite understood the idea of nek length. But if you have more sloping shoulders, it makes a lot more sense :). CBL for me is quite a bit below the red line.
Like ynne, before this discusson I wasn't sure what NL was supposed to be. I honestly thought that it must be either when your hair reached the beginning of your neck, or perhaps somewhere halfway, no idea how to call that...
Perhaps we should redefine all the markers in terms of vertebrae:cheese:

True, very tricky to figure out precisely. But I would say it's a small territory, anything below the chin and above SL.

Yes, that's what I also thought of SL before I came to this thread. But this is actually surely CBL, just like ynnesaid, below CBL. And to me this looks somehow closer to APL then to SL.

I agree with CuteCrow's lines. I also have sloped or rounded shoulders so reaching NL came quite quick after CL, while for SL I had to wait a bit. While people with rectangular shoulders can call NL and SL at the same time I guess.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
If I waited for crows version of Shoulder it would take me 8 months more to get there 'sobs and walks out of topic'
😄
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
But then is the APL reachable within 3 months. However you refer, you have to wait, sooner or later. :D At least we agree that APL is where it is. Although, we also once discovered that APL with towel (or in clothes) is a bit lower then APL measured in sleeveless shirt.

I think your own body proportions definitely play a part, I have clearly sloping shoulders so NL and SL make more sense to me like that. You have to do what works for you :D

Well, looking at my growth chart, it took me 9 months from NL to SL and an expected 10-11 months from SL to APL depending if I call it this month or next *cries in slow growing hair*

For me, my lines actually distribute the milestones better, NL is 40.5cm SL 49cm and APL 60cm. There's about 10cm in between each milestone, there's no way I could reach that in 3 months  Also, APL with clothes always look higher on me for some reason but the towel test is the same that measured in a strappy top. I think this is definitely a YMMV kind of thing ;)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Oh, so different from my milestones. My SL is 43cm and APL is 53cm. BSL 62cm and WL 71cm. My height is 169cm. What is your height?
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
It's so interesting, I'm 169cm too, BSL is 69cm and WL 77cm on me. It's amazing how different our milestones can be being the same height.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Oh, then it must be that I have abnormally small torso, or you have small legs. :D
Just joking, I hope you don't mind. I used to consider my APL 52cm but when my hair got that long, it was above APL .
I've just realise, thanks to you, I should do the measuring on my body, and not straight on hair. Right? Or...or.. something has no sense.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I'm 165 goes to check milestones I did mine myself so I'm not sure on accuracy
Roughly 48cm for shoulder and apl is about 55cm @agava I measured body parts not hair
